How does a fire blanket get contaminated?

Your blanket should be stored away from the stove where grease can contaminate the blanket. Be careful also on the location you don’t want to have to reach over it to put out the flame. We store on on the right side if the sink with the stove to the left.

This can be used on people?

From what I've learned this may protect your body from flames but not your lungs from breathing in toxic fumes. Fire also feeds off oxygen so one would need a mask and a quick escape route to truly escape it.

How many pair of gloves are included with the two blanket pack?

There’s a pair in each blacker four gloves total … a right and a left glove… the gloves are a white light weight woven material with anti slip surface. I have not used the blankets myself yet. I volunteered for the American Red Cross. The sizes of the blankets differ. The gloves can be worn to protect your hands. But they are light weight so I would not suggest them as oven mitts. I have not had need for the blankets yet. But you can also use one of these blankets to wrap around yourself in a fire.
