Stay one step ahead of Mother Nature with the Solar Powered PRW3000, incorporating Casio's Triple Sensor Version 3 engine. Advanced CASIO original technology has allowed for a 95% smaller direction sensor and 90% reduction in sensor power consumption compared to previous models. Despite their smaller size, the sensors in this model delivers better accuracy and energy efficiency. This model can measure Altitude in 1m increments (previously 5m) and display compass readings with 60-seconds of continuous measurement (previously 20 seconds). In addition to the altimeter and digital compass, the watch's Barometer, incorporates a unique Barometric Pressure Tendency Alarm that alerts the wearer to sudden changes in pressure readings. Design features include a compact, sleek case and soft urethane band for a better fit to the wrist. One-touch access to digital compass, barometric pressure/altitude, and temperature readings keep important information at your fingertips. Other features include Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping, 100-meter water resistance, and more. Everything about these models is designed and engineered to make them essential pieces of outdoor gear. Altimeter Measuring range: -700 to 10,000 m. CasioWith the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

Looks great, easy to read, fits a 7 inch wrist without a problem.
I needed a "knock around" watch to use when working on yard activities or not at work. This watch is great. I love the looks, Incredibly useful and not too big or bulky. The white on black dial is easy to read in all light. The auto light feature is nice and it's fun to play with the barometer and temperature. Setting the latitude and longitude gives me the sunset and sunrise. The radio control feature seems to sync without a problem. The manual is big, but not so confusing that all the features are fairly easy to configure. The temperature is confused by the temperature on the body, there is an adjustment to add or subtract as needed. I just place it on the counter for 10 minutes and it gives an accurate reading. Also, I have a small wrist. It measures less than 7 inches. I typically wear a 39mm watch, as the super large watches look ridiculous. However, this watch is contoured on the side, with the strap curving in the shape of the wrist. The watch looks great . Not overly big. A great style and lookSo, even if you have a smaller wrist, this watch is great.

Almost perfect
I really like this watch. It is almost perfect. I have a nicer watch and had a cheaper "outdoor" watch which disappeared, creating the need to get this new one. I had the Casio SGW-100, about $40, and there really is no comparison. I mainly needed the compass, and the new sensor technology on this watch has made the compass more usable due to real-time direction updating and lower power consumption. It works like an magnetic compass where the indicator continues to point north unlike other digital compasses that give a single direction before needing a new reading. I am still testing out the altimeter and barometer, and so far, they are reasonably accurate. The atomic clock sync is great. It had a hard time getting the first signal. I had to physically go outside and point the thing toward Colorado for 5 minutes before it finally worked. But after that first sync, it syncs easily every night from inside my house away, from the windows (west coast). Suffice to say, I have never had a watch this accurate, even my "premium" automatic watch. The watch also looks good - low key, adventure style. And it looks like a normal sized men's watch, not one of those huge over-sized ones. It is subtle enough to wear every day, which I'm doing to test functionality for the time being. I've already changed the band to a velcro, NATO style. The stock band is fine, I just did it for kicks and for the option to strap on the outside of clothing when needed. This watch will mainly be used for outdoor and travel, but I also wanted a "survival" watch. I can't think of anything out there that would be better. Requirements are good water resistance, indefinite power supply, ABC (especially compass), accurate relative time, and durability. This watch is perfect. It never needs a new battery and shouldn't break. It's not a G-shock, but it's still better than most. Very satisfied with the watch. The reasons for one star off is in the cons, but they just keep it from being perfect. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. Nothing better out there for my needs.Pros:ABC fairly accurateTime perfectly accurate since it updates every nightRecessed, protected mineral watch faceSolar powered means never needing maintenanceActually reasonable size for an ABC watchCons:Not the most durable, but good enough (100 meter and easily scratched, non-shock absorbing metal bezel).Subtly odd color choices on bezel tick marks (reflective) and dark grey band (not black) but still looks good.

The best, most functional watch I've ever owned. Yet still attractive!? Amazing.
Why on earth did I wait so long to upgrade to this incredible watch? I can't add much that the other, extremely detailed reviews do such a good job with. I just want to throw down my 5-stars and say that I'm extremely pleased. The watch body is much smaller than I expected, which makes it look classy and not obnoxious like the older ABC watches, or the bulky, ridiculous "SHOCK" watches. Despite the well-proportioned body, the numbers are plenty big and clear (especially the main/middle line) and very easy to read at a glance. I'm comfortable wearing this watch every single day, for every activity - from the office and business travel, to outdoor rock climbing and construction site work. The atomic clock radio works great here in Los Angeles, so the watch always has perfect time, and the compass works VASTLY better than my $700 smart phone. I only take this watch off when I sleep, and even then, only when I'm sleeping at home. For backpacking and travel, it stays on my wrist 24/7 for days at a time. The black metal ring around the outside is getting a bit scratched up. Which for me, just gives the watch some character - it's seen a bit of real life.

Great watch, but with fatal flaw: resets itself when encountering static electricity.
This is a great watch. All of the features work as expected, and it's very comfortable on the wrist. The display is one of the best. Information is presented clearly, and very readable even in direct sunlight. The one star rating isn't a mistake. This watch has one fatal flaw: it resets itself whenever there's some significant static electricity around. This happens quite often during the winter, especially if one wears wool sweaters in a dry climate. Almost every time I put on or take off a wool sweater when wearing this watch, I'd noticed some time afterwards that the watch had reset itself. Then I'd have to manually change the time and all the other settings. The manual sync function just does not work after these events, but the watch would at some point syncs automatically and this function would work normally again. I bought this watch before the summer and it wouldn't be until about mid-winter when I discovered this problem, but by then the return period had passed. So, bottom line: if you don't wear wool sweaters in the winter or otherwise encounter static electricity on a regular basis, then this watch would be great for you.

Casio prw 3000 1cr
Bonjour, ATTENTION !

Great everyday use watch!
I've used this watch daily for the past 10 months or so. So far it has worked great. Apart from minor scuffs and scratches on the bezel, this watch still looks pretty much new. Even from regularly banging and rubbing it off of things at work. The atomic timekeeping is always on point and I'm pleasantly surprised with the accuracy of the compass and barometer. The altimeter works but if more of a generalized reading. All in all I am very pleased with this watch and would recommend to a friend. A tip to my military guys/gals out there: even though the face is mostly black it is still quite shiny to a watch cover would help with the glare.

Nc watch
Oh my , I don’t know what to say , this watch takes me whole day to figure out each function, my eyes almost go blind...specially the high tech functions , I think I need a nap after writing this review ..Anyway , the look of this watch is pretty cool , and I like the storm-warning function , it reminds me when to wear more clothes and when to bring my umbrella, the only thing I don’t like is the case which feels like a plastic but customer service said it is mineral crystal .... so I give 4 stars ~
