I read all the information I could find on this product and thought that it would be a good alternative to the slings I already own. Well after using it I can say that it certainly does stay put on your shoulder. Not so much that adjusting it is a pain but there is no hint that it would slid off your shoulder unexpectedly and I used it in weather that was below freezing when it might be stiffer than in more moderate weather. I cannot say that I noticed that the cold affected it at all. If there is one down side it is that I wish it had a loop to put your thumb through when you are walking. Most traps do not have this but on the few I have I really like that feature. Since the part of the sling that is not rubber is 1" nylon strap it is not the easiest thing to hold when you are walking. I have only had it a short time so cannot comment on durable it is but it does seem to be well built and should hold up well. For the cost it is a real value.Edit after using it hunting - After using it for a time I find that when I am out with another gun, I swap out its sling for this one. It really is very comfortable on your shoulder and very quiet when sliding it off which is very important to me because for deer I prefer to stalk rather than post or sit in a tree stand, so more than a few times I find myself in a situation where I am sliding the gun off my shoulder in very close proximity to a deer. To much noise and you are left with a quick offhand shot at a running deer. I never attempt them so for me it means that deer is not going into my freezer just yet anyway. I also like that it does absorb some of the shock of the gun going up and down when you walk so that may also be why it is so comfortable on my shoulder. If only they put in a thumb hole it would be the ideal sling.

This is a very small strap with almost no adjustment on one end. I am probably considered a small guy with an athletic build. Extended completely this strap barely allows your body between it and your rifle. I watched reviews of this strap that never mentioned this problem. Remember

This is one of the best shoulder straps I have owned, I've had one for years and loved it. The name "The Claw" isn't on the item, only a small print with the maker is on it. I kept saying I wanted a couple more of them for other rifles. Came across this one and had to order 2 more right away. It's not heavy at all so not much weight is added to the rifle, it's not too wide so it isn't uncomfortable, and the rubber does a great job of grabbing any cloth that is on your shoulder so you don't have to keep readjusting the rifle while you walk.

I picked up this sling for my new Ruger American rifle in .308. The shoulder pad is thick, and it really grips fabric well. I've walked around my house and range with this sling on my rifle with no problems. Very comfortable to wear over a long period of time. It's even nicer that it comes with swivel mounts attached. I had no problems attaching it to the rear sling mount on the Ruger stock, or on my Champion bi-pod. Some have commented the swivels make noise when walking (or stalking) but I have not had this issue at all. I'd buy another one of these slings with no hesitation at all.

Good construction, nice metal swivels (quick release) and it doesn't appear as though it will slip off my shoulder. I have not yet mounted it to my rifle as I haven't received the one I ordered yet, but based on other slings I have, this will become my go-to style.

The problems inherent in most slings are 1)that they make the weight of the rifle on your shoulder uncomfortable over time - most rifles will weigh in over 7 pounds - and 2) the sling slips off your shoulder constantly. This sling does neither of these things. It is comfortable, contoured to the human shoulder and made of a soft material which neither bites or rubs your shoulder and which also DOES NOT SLIP OFF! Leather slings look wonderful, but this sling actually WORKS!

Came with swivels and hook latches which appear to be very sturdy. The weave is nice, tight and evenly spaced so it looks good on my rifle. Easy to adjust and holds the setting well.

I think this is the perfect sling. No nonsense, it just works as it should. It stays in place very well and is pretty comfortable. I have no desire to find anything else.
