My Dogs Love This Product!!!
This is my third time purchasing Joint MAX triple strength soft chews. My dogs can't get enough of it. I initially purchased Joint MAX triple strength soft chews to facilitate my Border Collie's recovery from hip surgery in October. I only recently began giving it to my other two dogs. It is probably a little early to judge its effectiveness. I do, however know that my dogs absolutely LOVE the taste.Below I give some background information on my dogs for anyone interested. Later I will add to this review regarding my opinion on its effectiveness. We have 3 dogs with hip issues. Two hybrids with minor issues and one Border Collie named Ceasar. Ceasar showed up one day about 5 1/2 years ago. Our Veterinarian said he looked about 3 years old at that time and weighed only 23lbs.He is a free spirit who loves to chase cars, so we had a tough time keeping him in the back yard. We ended up running a electric wire around the top of the fence. He only attempted to get out one more time after that. He favored one leg when he came to us and acquired a few more injuries over the next 2 years. My husband took him along once when he dropped one of our horses off at the Veterinarian's Office. After seeing Ceasar run around our veterinarian, who is a friend of ours, told Michael that he ran like a rabbit and asked when Ceasar was going to have surgery.Ceasar had 2 major surgeries in 2011. One in September and the other in October. The surgery is called FHO (False Hip Operation). This surgery involves the removal of the head (and sometimes the neck) of the affected femur. Then the muscles somehow form what the vet calls "a false hip joint".Before the surgery out veterinarian told us due to Ceasar's age and the degree of joint degeneration and muscle atrophy he couldn't make any promises about how successful the operation would be and that there was the possibility that he could cut a nerve in his hip which could cause him to drag that leg for the rest of his life. We had 2 options:1. Have the surgery and greatly increase the quality of the remainder of his life; or2. Don't have the surgery and watch the pain suck the life out of our wonderful, loving dog. After the second surgery our veterinarian told us that he didn't think he cut any nerves, and that it was the toughest surgery he had ever performed. Ceasar was in great pain for about three days after each surgery. But then he would get really bored and want to be busy again, but only for a little while. We began giving him Joint Max Triple strength after the second operation.I am very happy to say that Ceasar has made almost a complete recovery and is doing great!!!

Switched from Phycox, and found a winner! Highly recommended for dogs with knee issues
This product has been working well and I definitely recommend it. I looked at several on Amazon and tried to match up the ingrediants. Most of the other types didn't have glucosamine, chondroitin, and msm together. I had my dog on Phycox for awhile as I was getting it thru my Vet, and it was costly that way. I wanted to try to find a better price. I checked Amazon and they had the Phycox much cheaper, but again, it doesn't have all those 3 ingredients in it. Joint Max does, and its the cheapest price wise around! Because you should start your dog off with about 3-4 a day to really get it in their system. So having 240 at such a good price helps you not skimp on the amount given. The Phycox was about $.50 each thru my vet, so it was expensive at $2 a day.The reason I need to have my dog on a supplement is because she tore her knee bad about 5-6 years ago. Ripped almost every ligament in the knee, and required a very costly surgery. She gets sore a lot and starts limping when she gets up wrong or quick, plays with a neighbors dog, etc. So I wanted to get her on a good supplement daily. (she's an 8yr old Chow/Retriever mix about 80-85lbs, and i love her to death)The Outcome: Awesome! (as far as I know) So I have been giving her this for about 4-6 weeks now consistently, and I must say I don't think shes had any bad episodes since I started her on these. I don't even think any minor limping either. I wanted to give it enough time to notice a difference before i reviewed it, because you can't tell after a few days. But the week before I started her on these she was limping bad for quite a few days, and started getting better around when I started giving her these. But since then she has been doing really well. Now as for Joint Max compared to others. I have not given her this many of the other brand as I have with this, so I cant compare apples to apples as to which works better. But for the price, and the 3 main ingredients needed, this has it ALL!Other dogs might like the hint of Chocolate flavor this has, but my dog is to smart and won't take them. I have to crumble them up in the bottom of her food and she'll eat them that way. I usually do 2 early an 2 at night for the first 4-6 weeks. Now Im cutting her down to 2-3 a day.Again, I recommend this from personal experience with a dog that has a really bad and sensitive knee! I'll be ordering more very soon

Very helpful
My 11 year old dog started to have a limp would barely put full pressure on his foot. I assumed it was his hip. He is old and overweight. So I did some research and found this product. It works well. My dog started taken it a few days ago and I already see improvement . He is putting pressure on his foot and standing more. He still limps slightly but nothing compared to before. I will stock up on this product.

Dog likes the product
Our dog like these even through they don't smell the best. They can be a challenge for smaller dogs are they are very dense. We have seen a difference with how our dog moves.

Works!
I bought these for my pet pig who’s around 550#. I give her 2 in the morning and 2 at night. They seem to be helping her. Apparently they have a good taste because she chews them right up and yes, she’s a picky pig. She doesn’t even like carrots. Lol.

Substitution problem
I re-ordered this product like I’ve done countless times. Somehow they substituted the gratulated powder. I thought I’d go ahead and try it and have used it for a week but my dogs don’t like it at all. I haven’t seen anything showing that I was told I was going to get a substitution
