Denon DHT-T110 TV Speaker Base with Bluetooth aptX Streaming and Dolby Digital Decoding

If you are looking to dramatically upgrade the sound of your TV versus the standard speakers in the TV, then the Denon DHT-T110 is a good choice. My living room is 20' by 12' and this speaker makes it sound like a mini movie theatre. I actually get bass now for action movies, and hear sounds I was missing. It also sounds larger than the speaker itself as sounds bounce off walls. I would not recommend this speaker if you are looking for a high quality stereo system to play music. The treble sounds and voice are a little muffled, and the bass starts to distort if the volume is turned too high. One annoying thing is it does not turn on automatically with your tv, the manual says it should, I used their trouble shooting guide, but still no luck. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars at a price of $200 as it is hundreds cheaper than the Bose but sounds decent. Hookup is easy with one optical cable (which is included), and you can easily program your existing tv remote to run it. Looks great, sturdy, well built. Bluetooth works good also.

The dimensions of this product are not listed in Amazon's info as of 03/15/18. This speaker base has a trapezoid shape when viewed from the top, a detail not clear in the images on Amazon. The width dimension provided by an earlier reviewer (2 7/8" H x 23 7/8" W x 14" D) gives the width of the front of the device. The rear is narrower by at least a couple of inches, probably more. The base of a Sony Bravia is a bent bar design which is also trapezoidal, but in the opposite direction: it's 21.75" wide in the front and 25.75" in the rear - wish I had noticed that before I bought this. As a consequence, no way to use this Denon speaker base with my Sony TV.I never really got to check the sound before I noticed the mismatch - so this review is for other Bravia owners who might be considering this item.

After 2 months of use, the speaker just stopped working. When contacted Amazon, customer service informed me it was too late to return item. Have been trying to contact Denon without success for days. I am completely dissatisfied with the whole situation. I will still try to get in touch with Denon.

I chose this item based on buyer reviews on Amazon. I am very happy with the Denon DHT-T110. It sounds great and hooking it up with the optical cable could not have been easier. Programming my Sony TV's remote, to control the unit, was very easy and was completed in about 5 minutes or less. I have a large living room and the sound is great, especially the movie dialog. I am not going deaf after all. I like the easy access control buttons on the top front of the unit.The dimensions were not given on the Amazon product listing, so here they are 2 7/8" H x 23 7/8" W x 14" D. I took a chance and it fit my swivel base perfectly. I am very happy with the performance and the price.

Much better than tv speakers, but no that great. There are no lights to let you know which mode the speakers are in, or whether you even changed it. There are 3 settings, clear, not so clear, and completely muffled. In the clear setting, you can get some pretty high volumes. You will never hear surround sound on this device. Other reviewers must have had really bad tv speakers to give this item such high praise. This was a pricey item, trying to decide if the hassle is worth returning it, or just accept that I have a high priced one function speaker. Definitely would not recommend, with an item like this you have to go to a bricks and mortar store and hear it in person before buying (unless you like boxing things up and sending them back).

This was a great deal. The soundbar is just the right size for my setup, it works great and sounds way better than my allegedly smart TV's speakers. The only reason I give this 4 rather than 5 stars is because I'm a hifi nut, and notice a slight lack of high frequency spaciousness, so really it would be 4 and 3 quarter stars! Seriously, I researched soundbars and for the $200 price, this beats everything.

The unit works as expected and is a very good way of improving the sound from an LED TV. The picture from them is great, but sound quality suffers. If you have a TV which has direct digital output ( funny-shaped plug, rounded on top ), be sure to buy the optical audio cables to connect this speaker. It makes for better sound quality and even good ones are less than $10. Considering the price of this speaker, it's well worth it.

Easy to set up. Only one wire,five minutes, and you are connected. Great sound but a little weak on the base.But after awhile it sounded fine. Would like to see bass and treble controls.Bluetooth was simple to setup .works perfect with Pandora, etc.
