L'Oreal has a new customer!
I have wanted to try Wen for over a year but the cost deterred me. When L'Oreal came out with their mass market (aka Affordable) version, I thought the time was right to try it. Since I have never used Wen, I cannot say how it compares. My hair is medium length, about 5 inches past my shoulders. I color it monthly and style it daily with a curling iron and hairspray. It has become very dry and rough in texture over the years of doing this, despite babying it with color care products and intensive leave-in treatments. I shower at night so I haven't tried this product with a blow-out and can't comment on how it works. I would say my hair is normal or perhaps slightly on the fine side. Hopefully this information will help you to know if my review my be applicable to you. I have been using the product for a week now. What HASN'T changed is that my hair looks and feels exactly the same when it air dries: frizzy and rough. My hair was definitely not transformed into something ready to wear. What HAS changed is that it is now much, much easier to style. It holds my style so much better now, even in wind. I have been able to use half the amount of hairspray as I was before. It also looks more vibrant, like the color has been enriched. I still see color in the soap suds (I dye my hair red) but I always did even with so-called color safe products. The suds are always a bit pink or peach. So some color is still coming out with this. Although my hair is dry, I tend to get oily on the scalp if I skip a shampoo. Not so with this! My hair still seems just-washed on day two. I have also noticed that I am not scratching anymore. I used to scratch all the time. I don't have dandruff, but I do have a dry and sensitive scalp. This product seems to have eliminated that issue. I also have noticed that I am losing a LOT less hair in the shower and when brushing. The only thing I don't like is the vanilla scent. I hate that particular scent in personal care products, but it's only really noticeable while my hair is wet. Once dry, I can't tell. I just wish manufacturers would leave sent out of their products for people who have allergies or people who want their own perfume to be their scent and not clash with personal care product scents. Although the bottle doesn't say how to use it, I read on the L'Oreal site that customers were recommending 8-10 pumps massaged into the hair and scalp and left to sit for 5-8 minutes. I have found with my hair length and texture that I need 10-12 pumps which I massage thorough and then comb through and let sit. I leave it on long enough to wash my body and face and then rinse. I don't feel any residue although I choose to partially rinse in order to leave a bit in as a protective seal. On the days I fully rinsed, my hair felt like it needed conditioner. So that's my long review and I hope it helps!

Amazing!
I was alittle skeptical in purchasing this product, because I had never heard of a cleansing conditioner, other than a 2 in 1 product.I also think I have purchased L'Oreal products, but not haircare products.I also was worried how well this product would work with 1 part cleanser to 3 parts conditioner, whether my hair would feel clean or not.I have beyond thick hair, so their recommendation for normal hair is like 8 pumps, but I did 10 pumps, then added 2 more pumps, so that I could do my ends very well, but I started applying the product from my scalp on down, as per their video, which there is a tag that comes with this product, which shows you how to view the video.I did leave the product on for at least 5 minutes. I think they say 2 minutes, but what I always do is wash my hair first, then continue on with showering, which is what I did with this product, applied it to my hair, then continued on with my shower, then I rinsed it out. I wanted to make sure I got the full effect from this product. What I found truly amazing is how easy it was for me to brush out my wet hair, without needing any kind of detangler, which I normally have to use something, so that I can brush out my wet hair more easily. This product did leave my hair smelling wonderful and soft.I will continue to purchase this product. When you think about it, the cost is actually lower than if you purchased a separate shampoo, and then a separate conditioner, which is normally what I have to do.It's the next day after I used this product. I don't need to shampoo everyday, and my hair still feels soft.I highly recommend this product!

Love this method
I had no problem with the product. It did what it claims it does. However, someone recommended using regular, inexpensive conditioner and I found it works just as well. Every so often (once every two weeks or so) I just use a very small amount of shampoo on my roots only and then use the conditioner.I highly recommend giving up shampoo. My hair had become dull and lifeless. This method completely changed my hair to shiny and full of body. My hair no longer tangles which it used to do in the worst way.If you don't mind spending the extra money this is a great alternative to the well known Wen brand which is even more expensive. It's simply not necessary and you get the same benefits with this product or with any store bought silicone free conditioner. I use Suave... period. There is nothing I don't love about cleansing with a conditioner. There isn't a downside. I no longer need to cleanse my hair everyday. If I need to style it, I wet it in the shower, otherwise I use a cap. This also cuts down on using a damaging hair dryer. (I very rarely use one - I let my hair air dry.) I have no more itchy scalp... ever. My hair is healthier than it's ever been. No tangles. Less products, less money and a time saver. One thing to note - some people experience a transition period. Mine was short, about a week. I had to get used to not having lather and a squeak when I rinsed. It was also a bit drab. I'm glad I didn't let this stop me. It's so worth it.

Not good for me
I liked the sound of this-no harsh chemicals and leaves hair feeling natural. I guess it does but the only problem is my hair is obviously very greasy naturally! After 1 week of use my hair is lank and almost sticky. At first I thought I hadn't rinsed it our enough. Nice smell, ridiculous price, shipped from the USA but I wont be buying it again

which I liked, but was looking to see if I could ...
I previously used the Macadamia co-wash product, which I liked, but was looking to see if I could find something even better. It is not this unfortunately. It smells horrid, I have no idea how much to use, and it leaves my roots really greasy.
