Citizen Eco-Drive Corso Quartz Mens Watch, Stainless Steel with Leather strap, Classic, Brown (Model: BM8242-08E)

I really like this watch, it is extremely good looking, much nicer than it appears in the photo and the band is also handsome. I was looking for a watch with a larger dial and while this one isn't as large as I originally wanted it has all the benefits I was after, it is easy to read, keeps time accurately, and looks good on my wrist while not being ostentatious. The dial is black with gold numerals and lines, the hands are gold as is the outer rim. The day and date are in a small rectangular window and can be a bit fussy to set but remember that the stem pulls out to two positions, the first allows you to set the date and day, twist it one way and you set the date, the other you set the day, pull it out one click further and you set the time. Easy peasy,A nice thing about this watch is that it doesn't require a battery, it's solar. So if you allow it to run down just wear it on a sunny day and it will recharge quickly. It takes longer on cloudy days or if you are indoors, but put it under a light for a few hours and it will be just fine. No more visits to get the battery replaced.The band is much nicer than what you see in the photo as well. It is brown and alligator textured. Apparently some people have problems with allergies to the chromium with which the leather is tanned but it hasn't caused me any issues.Cons?The manual that comes with the watch is a generic one and you have to go to the Citizens web site to download the one for this watch. To do this you have to figure out the movement number which is embossed on the back of the watch.That's it. I really am glad that I purchased this watch, it is a nice every day and even special occasion watch.I've had this watch for a year and a half now and I like it more every day. No winding, no batteries, it just works and looks good. One minor quibble is that I wish it could set itself so that I didn't have to change the date when a 30 day month came to an end and the 1st of the next month says 31. That's it. good watch.

I wear this watch several times a week. I especially like it because it has a very low profile which means it fits easily under my dress shirt cuff without my needing to use the expanded button (and have a loose cuff). I bought this watch especially because it has both day and date on the face. I more often use my watch to check the date than the time and having the day of the week there is a handy feature. The face is very classy. Simple yet elegant. It's not cluttered or confusing. The band is generic but has held up well for the past 9 months of my wearing it. Even the best watchbands wear out so judging a watch by its band is short-sighted. It's like judging a car by how long the tires last. You can always swap it out for a better band.Some people have complained about the date setting. Admittedly, the date is set on a 12/24 hour timing so if it doesn't change correctly, you simply adjust the timing forward by 12 hours and it puts it back into the proper 12-hour increment. No problem. I actually have two of these watches (the other the straight black one) and both have the same functionality. I actually have one of the fancier and heavier Citizen watches for casual use so I'm a fan of these watches.I especially like the fact that I never have to change the battery on this watch due to the EcoDrive technology. That's another reason I bought it. Given all of the above, this watch is a real steal for less than $100.

I like the looks of this watch. The band is sturdy, but a bit small. The buckle is almost all the way to one side of my wrist. I’ll probably replace it with a larger one. (See photo)It doesn’t seem to need much light to stay charged - it’s winter and it’s covered by the cuff of my shirt most of the time, but it’s keeping good time.The day and date are a little small for my old eyes to read, but not impossible.All in all, I’m glad I bought it.

I have now had this watch for about 2 months. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:1. Notice how most watches now-a-days are silver...this is gold so I believe it gets noticed by others.2. I have had many compliments on it so far.3. Super, super, super light. Other watches I tried on at the store were weights. This one you will not even know that you are wearing it. Very light.4. Very accurate. It has maintained perfect time since I got it.5. Comfortable to wear. You won't even realize you are wearing it.6. Stylish. Looks much better in real life then in person. Looks very classy.Cons:1. The band is very cheap. But the way I see it, I will gladly by another band for it since I like the watch itself so much.2. The band is super small. I am 5'8 and 190lbs and I am on the 2nd to last hole in the band.3. You cannot tell the time in the dark. The hands do not light up.4. The day/date should be double that size. I have 20/20 but unless I am in perfect light I have a hard time seeing the day/date.So there you have it. The pros and cons. I personally thought the pros outweighed the cons and I am very happy to have bought this watch.....Fast forward 10 months:************ I have now had this watch for 10 months. I still stand by this review 100%

I like everything about this watch as I had a similar one that lasted 7 years!! Just had to change the bad a few times. Keeps good time and has a nice classy look to it. Definitely worth the money for what you get!!

エコドライブが気になったのですが、普段使いしているので問題なく動いてます。サイズが若干小さいので日付けが見にくいのと、ベルトが硬いのがマイナスポイント。後はシチズンのため問題ありません。
