Radius Garden Way2Gro Herb and Lettuce Hanging Vertical Garden Kit, Slate (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I was expecting it to be much bigger. I bought it as a birthday gift and when it arrived I was so embarrassed by its small size I am keeping it for myself. I haven't put it together yet but I cannot see growing much of anything in it.

This fits perfectly in our window and our herbs are growing well (considering my penchant for killing plants, that's saying a lot). It's really awkward to shove the connector poles into the pots, though, and to try to hold it up while planting it--you'll need an extra pair of hands.

I really wanted a kitchen herb garden for some time now but I am missing the "keep green things alive" gene. Not having had much luck in the past I decided to give this planter a go because buying herbs at our local grocery store is just so expensive, often the same price as buying a starter plant with the same amount of leaves attached. So seeing as the planter, some soil, and plant food was the only investment I decided to give it one more try since this planter has a unique watering retention system. I have had it for 3 months now and I have to say it is absolutely fantastic. I bought 2 and each one hangs from a kitchen window and all 6 different herbs are all thriving marvelously! I finally have on demand herbs and I couldn't be happier! I plan to purchase a couple more and expand to a larger variety of herbs so I can have access to less common herbs that I would not be able to find at our local grocery stores.

Purchased this as a Christmas gift for someone and was very disappointed when the person told me there was no potting medium nor seeds that came with the kit. Guess I assumed it was all-in-one and would not have purchased it otherwise. As I look back over the description, I see that the packaging (at least, from what is shown here) does NOT say that it includes seeds and/or potting soil/sand ... but then again, it also doesn't include the caveat that these essential components are NOT INCLUDED either--as does most packaging that clearly shows the full potential of buying the product. Very misleading.

I like it but I broke 2 of the attachments

It went together well but there was no bottom drip plate so the water runs out of the bottom. I tried to contact the company to get a drip plate, which is listed on the box and in the directions as part of the product and their website is not valid and I can't find a phone #. Very disappointed.

Many complained that these are small. They aren't huge, but for growing some kitchen herbs in the kitchen window, these are perfect. I am sad that they have been discontinued.
