Digital optical out for your smartphone or a flash based Walkman
Was really trying to find a product that would let me output digital audio signal from either a Galaxy S10e phone or a flash based Sony Walkman players to an optical digital input devices. I prefer my music in either FLAC or WMA Lossless formats, and so wanted to bypass internal D/A converters for best quality. Reiyin DA-02 DAC does a perfect job with the help of a third party USB C to USB A adapter for the smartphone, or a Sony proprietary WM port to USB A adapter for Walkman to get optical toslink output to my DAT deck input for high quality D/A conversion to an audio system. Have not tried the headphone feature yet, as I need it purely for optical out purposes. Thank you for designing such a unique product to support a USB digital audio output to an old-fashioned toslink optical input connection!

Optical output doesn't work well and whole thing has failed after less than a week
I got this for the optical output at 192 kHz/16 bit, but when I tried to use that, connect it to a DAC preamp, the product couldn't handle it. The analog output was working ok, but now NOTHING, after less than a week, no sound at all, is coming from it. I plan to return.

Smallest and Cheapest USB to Digital Out!!
I have been looking everywhere online for a small, usb sized digital output without needing a full audio interface for my itx build. And the only alternative is an European stick that costs $100+.This device was my salvation! It works PERFECTLY. I am an audio engineer and I didn't notice any signal degradation to my Apollo Twin Digital In a non-professional studio environment.I can definitely vouch for a high quality Digital Output in a non-professional environment.PS: I didn't test any of its analog capabilities. ONLY the Digital Out.

Surprisingly perfect for generating FM MPX on the cheap
I use this in conjunction with a Raspberry Pi 3 and the ARM build of StereoTool to generate an FM multiplex (stereo and RDS). It works like a charm! Cheapest way to get 192KHz out of the Pi, from my knowledge.

Low voltage output.
Sound was kinda foggy compared to the Xtrempro.

Excellent sound but beware it is very picky with some earphones.
To get optical digital output, I had to disable its microphone first on my Windows 10 laptop. Took me some time to figure out and i'm not sure if anyone experiences the same.Audio quality is actually very good, detailed, transparent with good punch, although it gets annoyingly noisy with some sensitive balanced armature earphones such as a CCA C-12. I tested with my laptop or Samsung galaxy s9, the noise almost made me regret my purchase. However, the noise is totally gone when I pair it with an AKG K452 and Victor HP-FX500 / JVC HA-FX1000. Those headphones that are normally hard to drive tend to do better with this usb sound card. There is plenty of power I only need half the volume most of the time. I guess the bad reviews we see are from people who use incompatible earphones. With compatible headphones, I thoroughly enjoy the sound.I'm a bit sad that my favorite CCA C12 doesn't work well with this, but the usb soundcard breathes new life into my JVC and AKG. So do test with different headphones, you will be surprised by its audio quality.
