Saved Me From A $5000 Plumbing Bill And Having To Pee in the Woods
My husband and I bought a foreclosed house that no one had lived in for 8 years. The house was in disrepair from not having people take care of it. After moving in, we started having serious plumbing problems. The bathtub, toilet, and sinks would take forever to drain. The cold water wouldn't work and all we had was scalding hot water. The house was built in the 1940s and many pipes were cast iron. We had two plumbers come in and snake the drains but it didn't solve the problem. Both said that they thought that since the pipes were so old, they were galvanized, restricting water flow, and needed to be replaced. We were quoted between $3000 to $5000 from several different plumbers to replace the pipes. We spent all our money buying the house and doing other necessary repairs and could not afford what the plumbers wanted to do. Being poor and not being able to fix the toilet was the worst experience of my life. The house we bought was thankfully out in the woods meaning mother nature provided us with plenty trees and an outdoor bathroom in desperate times. We decided to pursue trying random things out to see if we could unclog the pipes out of desperation. I was pregnant at the time and had to use the toilet constantly and suffered having only one toilet that wouldn't drain completely for days. You've never known suffering until you've had to waddle out into the woods to use the bathroom with a huge baby belly in 90 degree heat because the toilet was clogged. I found Earth Enzymes while researching products on Amazon. After reading the reviews and reaching desperation I decided to try it. Others said it was a miracle product so I decided to take a chance. I took extremely hot water, mixed it with the Earth Enzyme in a bucket, and poured it down the toilet. I left it alone for 12 hours before I took another bucket of hot water and poured it down the toilet to rinse. I automatically saw the toilet draining way better than it had before. After flushing several times the toilet was completely unclogged and flushing normal. I was so happy! The next day my 10 year old niece came over and I told her to not throw paper in the toilet out of fear it would clog again. Of course, 15 minutes later my niece threw a ton of toilet paper in the toilet after taking a huge #2, clogging the toilet back up. It took 4 days of flushing and waiting to get it all to go down. Complete nastiness...I was discouraged that the Earth Enzymes seemed to fail and almost threw it away. I decided to give it another shot though and my husband and I were dedicated to trying it repeatedly for 3 straight days. We sucked it up and went outside to use the bathroom for those 3 days. Not fun in the dead of summer I'm telling you....Anyways, after doing 3 treatments of Earth Enzymes over 3 days, leaving it in there almost 24 hours each time, our problem was completely solved. The toilet was no longer clogged and worked perfectly. We could even put paper in it and it would flush no problems. We later tried Earth Enzymes in the sinks and again we had success. No more clogs. This stuff really was a miracle product for us. Our clog was so bad that only one try wasn't enough so I recommend doing multiple treatments if you don't have success. If we had listened to several different plumbers we'd be out up to $5000 on a misdiagnosis. This little product is very powerful if you give it time to work.

Handled tough clogs, but safe for septic tank
I had a good experience with this product this weekend. Purchased 2 bottles from Amazon to work on three slow drains: 1. Hair clogged bathtub drain, 2. Hubby's whisker clogged sink with lots of probable biofilm, too, I'm guessing, 3. Guest bathtub drain with unknown, tough clog (probably dog hair from big dogs that lived here before us).We have a septic system and also live adjacent to wetlands with cool critters so I'm sensitive to what I send down the drain. This product smells great and I had no fear for the wildlife or my septic tank.I will say that precise measurements are critical. Also, very warm water is key, as is total dilution before sending it down the drain. Oh, and I did NOT cheat. I waited the entire 24 hours before using my drains.I think the whisker/biofilm clog responded best to the treatment. The drain was faster after one application. The other two tricky clogs did require two treatments each but I am thrilled with the results.I plan to buy one or two more bottles to use as weekly maintenance doses for smooth flowing drains. I will definitely use it again!

Biological breakdown of grease, food and other organic pipe muck. Did what it said for my very old, slow draining kitchen drain.
Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with this product. I am just a guy who purchased Earth Enzymes on Amazon and am posting an honest review. Promise. Really. Check my other reviews. Long history.(Update, June 1, 2016): I used this stuff three times in a row over three days. The pipes are still draining very well. No signs of slow drains. I stopped using it daily because the pipes were draining fine. I sort of lost interest in making solutions and pouring them down the drain. I may use the rest of it soon. In short, it seemed to work well. Well enough for me to stop worrying about it. Original review below.)My setup: 60 year old house in southeastern US. Galvanized steel, 2" drain pipe for kitchen. Two 90 degree bends in drain before it reaches the main. 60 years of grease, coffee grounds, food particles, etc built up in pipes. Slow drain. Never clogged completely. Lots of pots of boiling water. Occasional plunging, etc. Typical old, slow drain.I resorted to two whole bottles of liquid drain opener a few months ago. Drain opened up better than it had since I lived here, proving that muck in the pipe is the culprit. But using caustic drain openers is a bad idea for so many reasons. Primarily because it eventually destroys your pipes and costs lots of money to replace. And some plumbers can be destructive and under-informed. But I know that I have years of accumulated muck in my pipes. So I got this stuff. The mixture ratio indicates 2 quarts of water mixed with 2 cups of product to unstop a drain. (1 quart=4 cups) This ratio equals 1 part Earth Enzyme to 4 parts warm water, regardless of volume mixed. My kitchen drain was starting to show signs of slowing down again. *sigh*. I mixed 1 cup of Earth Enzyme to 4 cups (very) warm water. Used a cheap plastic cookie container to mix. Ran hot water down drain for about 5 minutes, then poured Earth Enzyme mixture down Kitchen Sink. I stopped up both sides of the sink with sink strainer/stoppers and left it for 11 hours. The next morning I ran hot water down the pipes for 5 minutes or so while I boiled up a very large pot of water. Poured large pot of boiling water down drain. Water drained faster than it has in the 10 years I have lived here!I ran hot water for 5 minutes a little while later. The water ran down the drain as fast as I could put it in.Currently I have another mixture of 4 cups water/1 cup enzyme sitting in the pipes with the kitchen sink plugged with strainer/stoppers. I am going to use this stuff every night until the bottle is empty. About 4 or 5 treatments. Keep in mind that I am using a half-dose from the recommended dose (same strength) for a clogged drain. My drain was not clogged but showing signs of slowing down (again....). Since I didn't actually have a clog I used only 1 quart and 1 cup and put it straight down the pipes. This product is supposed to consist of bacteria and proteins that activate in warm water and consume grease and food particles as a primary food source. By all appearances it is and does exactly that. It bubbled up with a pretty classic "bacterial culture" foam when stirred. And my kitchen drain literally drained better than it ever has (for me) after a single treatment.I always post follow-up review on products when there is a need. So far, after one overnight treatment, I am very pleased with this product. It appears to work. However, I have not attempted to unclog a totally blocked sink or one that is blocked with hair and toilet paper. I assume with enough time this product would even break down those products. But I would guess it would take days, multiple treatments, and a plunger. But for old, greasy pipes with years of organic waste clinging to the pipe walls in a slime wasteland, this product is specifically designed to eat this stuff, as food, off of the inside of your pipes.I should have purchased a multi-pack. One bottle works great, but you will probably wish you had more. I promise I don't work for these people or profit in any way by posting a good review. I just like the concept of biological breakdown of organic waste in pipes. And theoretically, with repeated uses, all of the food (blockage) in the pipes would be consumed, cleaning years of muck out of them without potentially damaging and expensive plumber snakes. If I see different results I will post a follow-up. My follow-ups always go at the TOP of my reviews.

Helped with a stinky kitchen drain
This helped eliminate a bad odour coming from my kitchen drain. I had tried vinegar and baking soda a few times and didn't want to go the toxic route, drain-o or whatever. The instructions say to do the first dose for 24 hours but we could only go without the sink for 12. But it seems to have worked pretty well anyway, as the smell is greatly reduced if not completely gone. If it improves further, and we do well using the product in weekly maintenance mode, I won't hesitate to come back and upgrade to five stars.

I have only used it once. I am hoping ...
I have only used it once. I am hoping that this is the solution for my smelly drains. I also hope that this can keep my drains open so that I don't need to use the harsh drain openers that eventually damage pipes by eating away at the metal.

Great "maintainence" tool (36 hours in from initial testing)
Purchased as part of a cheap solution to clear a toilet pipe (upstairs) problem & thereafter clear the general area by eating through gunk & any remnants of the blockage by enzymes whilst we were away, plus periodic preventative action (as little as a couple of teaspoons of the powder, & warm water) for associated pipes in the house which connect up to the main sewer.Have tested it on downstairs sink in secondary bathroom for the past 36 hours, no niffs, in the hope that the shower, sink & loo will run cleaner along the plastic pipe (slow running due to half-wit plumbing cutting corners). ..thereafter (when we know what we are doing) we will use it upstairs just as we leave on holiday so it has a solid week to work through without interruption, ..no harsh chemicals involved to eat through pipes, glazes etc. This stuff is a favourite of those who are off grid, to shock start a sluggish septic tank, but is also a logical use for dog poop collection (we bag it & treat it so its less toxic upon disposal by the council, having placed it in the 12 kg biscuit sacks we feed our boxers from once empty). makes a big difference in the summer months. seeing as we don't have a sewage waste pipe opening in the garden for dog muck only!

USELESS
I used Earth Enzymes Drain Opener twice with absolutely no improvement to my drain. The container only has enough powder for 2 uses. Very expensive at more than $13+/treatment ($26.98 total cost, including shipping)!Per the instructions, I mixed 2 cups of product in 8 cups (2 quarts) of warm water, poured into the drain and let it sit for 48 hours the first time, and 36 hours the second time a week later. I did not use the drains at all during either of these treatment time periods. I flushed the drain with several gallons of hot water after each treatment. No improvement. In the past, I had better results using Zep Liquid Drain Care Build-up Remover (and it is way easier to use and much cheaper than the Earth Enzymes). I bought Zep Liquid Drain Care at my local hardware store for $13 for 64 regular treatments (or 8 clog clearing/slow drain treatments). I will return to using Zep Liquid Drain Care in the future. This experience has shown me that buying an expensive product doesn't necessarily produce better results. Lesson learned. As an aside, I always wipe down greasy dishes with a paper towel before washing them, I don't pour greasy substances down the sink, and I use strainers on my sinks and shower. However, I live in a 50 year old house, so there is likely decades of old build-up on the pipes.I contacted the seller (Daily Supply) explaining my displeasure with the product and was advised they were only the seller/distributor of the product and refused to address my complaint. I then filed a complaint through Amazon and was issued a full refund. Because of this I have given 2 stars, otherwise I would have given the product 1 star (since it is not possible to give a zero rating).

Ergebnis war total null
Ich tränkte den Schmutz, wie in den Richtungen geschrieben, und das Ergebnis war total null. Es gab kein verstopftes Rohr, nur ein paar klebrige Sachen auf dem Rohr - nicht einmal das.
