Works Well but the Quality is not Great
These crimpers work very well, and you can get a lot of leverage with the long handles. I bought a pair of crimpers years ago from Auto Zone and the issue I’ve always had with those is they tend to cut through and damage the insulation on the crimp connectors, these Chanbellock ones don’t damage the insulation at all which is nice.The only downside of these crimpers are the cosmetic issues. A lot of the edges are very sharp and the finish in general just isn’t as good as it about be for $30. I had the same issue on a pair of Channellock pliers that I bought recently as well. The first thing I did is use my Dremel and a grinding stone to knock down the sharp edges and the areas that feel very rough. Now they actually feel comfortable to use.

I've had some Kleins I've used for a decade and actually ordered these for a friend because the insulated/non-insulated are switched around and he kept mixing that up so these would work better for him. Well, he had ordered them too so I kept them and gave them a try never thinking that I'd switch over but I did. Somehow they are just easier to use.

I love the Channellock because most of their products are made in the U.S.A. or at least their pliers. Very solid, comfortable feel. Cuts beautifully and crimps like they're supposed to. I use mine for work in maintenance of the warehouse/manufacturing.

If your looking for quality and longevity in a tool , look no further. Sturdy well crafted tool will give you years of trouble free service. Most important tool rule”use the right tool for the right job” these are used for cutting wire and crimping connectors ONLY.

great leverage that cut through things like butter. use the uninsulated crimp part for insulated crimps, get better results.
