My granite has darkened over the years ... will this help lighten it?

I have a marble vanity top. This product will clean it before I use the sealer?

I am sorry I have granite only and I did buy both the Black Diamond cleaner and Black Dimond cleaner and sealer, I have always just used the cleaner but when I went to order more the cleaner with the sealer together came up so i got both and tried the cleaner with he sealer and it works well on granite that is.
