INNO INH110 Tire Hold Hitch Mount (1.25"/2") Platform Rack (1) Bike (E-Bike, Fat Tire, Full Suspension, Carbon Compatible)

I recently purchased this rack after reading all the reviews here. All I can say so far it that it is pretty great with some minor adjustments!I believe that all the people that left a negative review because of how hard is too install it or because of the wobble, probably struggle with IKEA furniture assembling as well.The rack is very easy and intuitive to assemble, even though the instructions could be clearer and more descriptive.When mounting it on the car, I found it fairly easy to align the pin holes on my 2 inch hitch, but I have an SUV so I could easily check what I am doing. On a lower car it might be a bit more challenging, especially if you are not willing to lay on the ground. However, after installing it, this rack has a marking plate that could be adjusted to touch the edge of your hitch, so next time when you are mounting it on your car, it will always match the pin hole when pushed until that plate touches the hitch. This way you can mount it in less than a minute.I think the rack is very sturdy. Tightening using the knob tool by hand seem to work pretty well and I feel that you can apply enough pressure so the rack will stay fixated to the car with zero wobbling. There is the concern that the pin might fall since it doesn't go all the way through, but I think that the spring design keeps it in place pretty well and even if it were to fall, it is attached with a cable to the rack , so you won't loose it. As for the rack, if it is tightened well with the knob tool, I doubt that it will ever fall from the car, unless maybe your drive for several hours offroad with a heavy bike and fallen pin. Still, a go through pin design that locks on the other side would give you something less to stress about.There is some wobble coming from the tilting arm that connects to the base, that probably disappointed a lot of people , including myself for a brief period of time. However after removing the plastic cover around the joint and tightened those bolts better, the rack is now one with the car, no wobble and feels very sturdy... still it is something that you will have tinker yourself.Out of FOMO, I also ordered the Kuat Piston SR with the hitch adapter to compare the two and I ended up returning. The Kuat is clearly more premium and the piston system feels amazing. However, if it just as heavy as the INNO if not a bit heavier and since it doesn't have the tilting handle, I find it harder to carry it around. I also feel it is harder to mount it on my car, since I will have to match the pin holes every-time and with a thicker pin, it is quite difficult to go all the way through, even when the holes are fairly aligned. The pin does go all the way to the other side and locks, which is stress free, but I feel that the pin might rattle from the vibrations, not sure how loud you could hear it though.Overall, I feel that the INNO does look a bit nicer on the car when folded and it feels premium enough especially since it is less than half the value of the KUAT including the adapter. Plus the tilting option makes the INNO more user friendly.I will have to test the INNO for a longer period of time and see how well it holds up, but I wanted to share my thoughts regarding my experience so far.

This is a very good, quality hitch. I have read many of the review complaints. Here are the facts:The instructions are not bad although you may find YouTube videos helpful. If you follow the instructions (in order) and set up the hitch properly, you will find that the hitch is absolutely solid and secure. My bikes are held very securely by this hitch. The hitch is not held on by the safety pin. The safety pin is only for backup. The hitch is held on by an expanding wedge that is expanded or contracted by turning the knob where the lock is. Yes, the knob will come off, but it is designed to do that so that you can attach the anti-theft cable under it. Mounting and removing the bike is not difficult. One hand to steady the bike and the other hand to push the holding arm onto the tire. To release: press the button while sliding the button housing away from the tire. Very easy.I only have two issues:First - This is a fairly heavy hitch. It weighs almost twice what my old hitch weighed. Granted, it has to be heavier to accommodate e-bikes. However, I only use it for a road bike and a mountain bike so it’s overkill.Second - I have two vehicles that I use the hitch on and they have different size receivers. One is 1.25 inch and one is 2 inch. It will take 5 minutes to switch from one car to the other. It requires removal (or addition) of two screws and adjustment of another screw for the sliding plate. Not a big deal but kind of a pain if you switch them often.Lubrication of the threaded wedge rod, due to rain or snow, over time, will likely be the only maintenance needed.In closing, I would buy again.

I mounted this to my trailer hitch 2 weeks ago and it's very secure. It looks really good too. Definitely want to use a socket to tighten the bolt that secures it to the hitch. It does not shake or vibrate. You forget it's there after a while. It does not block my backup camera or license plate. It looks expensive but it's not. Very happy with it so far. Time will tell how the plastic parts and trim holds up to weather and use.

Live this design. Loading and unloading a mountain bike is very easy. Only complaint is that locking a bike is not that easy / quick. We have resorted to using a chain lock directly to the wheel holder instead of the included cable lock. This is more secure than the cable, and faster to install.Also, changing the angle of the rack, to access our rear hatch area, is really easy. Even when a bike is loaded on the rack, it is easy to drop it out of the way and to move it back to the upright position.Overall a great design with great quality. Plus free Prime shipping could not be beat for something this big.

I’ve read some of the negative reviews and some comments on YouTube saying this is a bad bike rack but that’s not true at all. Probably user error. This rack is solid. Very little play and incredibly easy to load and unload a bike. I took it off-roading and wasn’t worried at all. At the lowered position, my Rav4’s lifegate clears it by about 1.5”. Keep in mind this is with the drop bars. Not sure how it would fare with regular handlebars.A couple things I didn’t like about the rack but isn’t a dealbreaker: The hitch pin isn’t the best design and might fall out easily. The locking mechanism is a bit flimsy. It’s only retained by some thick plastic and can probably be easily broken with a pry bar resulting in a stolen hitch/bike.Conclusion: Good bike rack with a very competitive price compared to similar no-frame-contact racks.

I did really love this bike rack, while it lasted. Today, less than one year after I paid almost $500 for this thing, the bolt that tightens the piece inside the hitch broke, making the rack useless. I have contacted customer support to see if they will stand by their product and help me, but as of now I have to advise against buying something this expensive and it breaking so soon. If customer supports helps me, I will update this review. I'm so disappointed in this thing.

There are better designed and engineered racks out there, namely 1-up and kuat. The inno at least does not look like a pile of broken scaffolding clinging to the back of your car.Price: For $380 I still think it is overpriced, but it was the only option with 2-day shipping a I needed it for a trip.Design: proven tire holds look sleeker than other designs. But its pieced together from sheet metal and bulbous plasticky pieces that looks cheap and ugly. Overall a big wide rack that will exceed the width of a standard compact car. I imagine it will fit your downhill mtb sled. A svelte road bike would look like it’s sitting in a big plastic prison. But again, not nearly as ugly as most bike racks out there.Construction: inferior to a proper rack like the 1-up. Assembly and installation is not hard, judging from the reviews people are not tightening the wedge handle which doubles as a locking cable holder. It’s a poor design that feels flimsy. The locking pin is both overcomplicated and too simple at the same time; a plasticky nub with a spring and thin cable that can be twisted around and you’re not sure what the heck it’s doing.Things to note: Looks like it was designed for passenger cars. 1.25” receiver juts out around a foot from the rear bumper.

I drive a passat, and have a 1.25" hitch. I also have a 27.5 MTB, and this rack is awesome. It is a very low profile, which makes it possible to be able to reach into my trunk when the bike isn't attached. I really like that it can tilt down while the bike is still on the rack to get to the trunk as well. It comes with a lock to keep it on your vehicle as well as an integrated cable lock as well. Some racks have the option to add this on, but after everything is said and done the price is double what this rack is. I normally go for a ride 2-3 times a week, but it is only me driving to the trailhead before work, so a single bike rack works really well. Another review mentioned that there was a lot of rocking and they bought a hitch tightener. I did the same thing, and it is rock solid. No shaking or rocking side to side and I recommend you do the same.

I was looking for a single bike rack by a popular name brand. It was sold out and I found this. I cannot say enough good about this. I love that it is half the price of the one I was initially looking at. This feels and is a well put together rack. When it is locked in, it is locked in solid, unlike cheap brands that bounce around and look flimsy. Comes with a convenient cable that neatly secures your bike to the rack. The cable is rubber coated. It so easily and conveniently attaches/detaches. Its light in construction but feels very sturdy with bike in and locked in position. I can't say enough good about this. Don't buy the **** Brand, buy this and I'll wait here for you to thank me later.
