I didn't think I was going to make it through Chloe's story. Lived, lived, lied every written word. Talk about throwing a curve ball not just writing about how even the wealthy are victims of abuse. But to add the element of a psychopath and a disappearance to the mix of finding happily ever after. This one had me on the edge, as well as pins and needles. When it was first mentioned of her disappearance, I knew she wasn't dead and that she would be found. However, it was as though it was no biggie, the Colters being so deeply involved in the government, that more resources weren't being put out, no concern other than Chloe worrying. Confused by the wealth that once Gabe found out what she had been going through there were no secret undercover agents following her for Christ sake. And that slithering psychopath creep got off to easy for my blood. Need to dig him up and beat life back into him and give him the death he truly deserved. J.S. Scott, you have kept me on this love sick rollercoaster in these billionaire series, that I must applaud 👏🏾 you for keeping me hooked and some sleepless nights because I couldn't get the story out of my head. Thank you for Chloe's, Asha's and Mia's stories. Thank you for keeping the billionaire boys intermingled into each other's stories. Feeling like another of your devoted fans...need more of each one of the books. Hoping you will bring them all together for a huge charity event around their combined investment so that all of these couples are brought together. Now on to Zane's and Ellie's love story.

Ok, I liked Gabe and Chloe but this book has a lot of red flags in the abuse world. So if you have ptsd from abuse (physically or mentally), skip this one!! Spoiler alert....Chloe was being abused and violated by her fiancé but she is a billionaire along with her family so her reasoning to give in to the abuse is hard for me to understand. She was strong in the end and stood up for herself mentally and physically so I was finally glad when that happened! But he was a physician and committed a lot of crimes and ends up getting the crap beat out of him toward the end (which is good). It's odd to me that Chloe didn't go to her brothers for help as close as they are. I guess the story needed to be longer. I would have liked to hear about James from other people in the town besides Chloe. In the story, she was the only person he seemed to interact with and I think it would have given the story a little more if we knew someone that knew James besides Chloe. I'm ready now to see what happened to Ellie in the next one!

OMG!!!! J. S. Scott is a powerful author. I just finished reading Billionaire Unbound - Chloe, and I cold not believe how powerful the story was. J. S. Scott really outdid herself I think on this book. Following everything that Chloe went through and everything that Gabe was doing to help her get through all this just made my heart break and heal all at once. And not to mention she made me want to KILL James, the ex fiance. An author who can take book number 8 in a series and make it so profound is definitely a author worth reading. This is a series and I have read every last one of them. This is one of those books that if I could rate it higher, I would. Chloe Tate is a billionaire in her own right and she is finally done with almost 10 years of school and she can finally become an equine vet and she can finally marry her fiance James. She so badly wanted to marry James but is now in the process of trying to heal after being abused by him. Boy did he do a number on her. Gabe Walker is a friend of Chloe's brother Martin, and life has always been easy for him. On New Year's Eve Gabe kisses Chloe and then his life turns completely around. He wants Chloe and can he convince her to come to work for him? Can he win her trust and help her heal? The attachment between the two of them is hot, but can Chloe let go of the past and love again? Read this book and find out. This book really hit home for me. I know you will not be disappointed in this book.

Those who enjoy J.S. Scott's Billionaire's Obsession series have been looking forward to more of the Colter family. To those who aren't familiar, this can be read as a stand alone book, but I would suggest the other books in the series because they are great. There are some appearances of previous couples in this story. Chloe has four brothers and is the only woman among her siblings. She's always had some self-image issues and hooked up with James shortly after high school. They became engaged while they were getting their degrees - hers in veterinary medicine with an emphasis on equine studies and his as a medical doctor. Now they are both back home in Rocky Springs, Colorado and Chloe is realizing that her first and only love is actually abusive. Mostly mentally abusive, but it is moving into physical abuse as well. Her brother, Blake, and Gabe are best friends. Gabe sees James hurting Chloe when she is breaking off their engagement. As the great alpha male Gabe is, he steps in and saves the day. He also offers her a job at his horse farm because his own vet recently retired. Chloe wants to put some distance between her and her very angry ex so she takes a leave from her partnership in town and moves to Gabe's horse farm to help him out with his breeding farm of specialized horses. They fight their attraction at first. She isn't ready to trust a man that much. He doesn't want to take advantage of her or hurt his best friend's sister. Over time their strong chemistry won't be denied. There are some serious plot twists I won't give away that make the later half of the book exciting in addition to being sexy. You'll enjoy this addition to the Billionaire's Obsession series as both the hero and heroine billionaire find a forever love.

The author gripped my attention and need to see Chloe triumph over the narcissistic, good for nothing doctor in Billionaire Untamed and did not disappoint me in how she carefully crafts the story to reveal all that Chloe endured, her misgivings about trust, the reason she hid the abuse from her family, and the slow and steady journey between her and Gabe, the man who loves her and is desperate to help her heal and trust again. Chloe’s story helps to show the dangers of getting involved with the wrong person and how even smart women with strong and supportive families can be manipulated into feeling that they have to endure and hide the abuse. Shame and fear should never be a reason not to speak. Abusers are cowards and need to be brought to justice. The reader will fall in love with Chloe’s journey, her learning how to defend herself, her seeking the help of a counselor, and falling in love with a man who loves her for the wonderful and beautiful woman she is inside. Gabe, despite being a confident, alpha male, also has a heart of gold and becomes her safe haven. The reader will be captivated by this heartwarming story of triumph, true love, and the message that love should never hurt and the one who truly deserves your heart is the one who loves and cherishes you for exactly who you are on the inside. My only complaint about these books so far is that I liked the old covers better (sorry Ms. Scott).

This is part of the Billionaire series. Within the series are the Colter family of brothers and sister who are billionaire. In this title Chloe the only sister in the family is being emotional and sexual abuse by her fiancee. Gabe rescues her from being verbally and physically being abuse by her fiancee James. As with all of J.S Scott the love scenes are extremely hot. I loved this book because it deals with something that is very current in our society woman being abuse by their lover/husband. Though Chloe was from a rich family she still got physically abuse and have to do deal with the repercussions of it. Gabe was the perfect hero who took his time with Chloe putting on her to make the moves in the relationship. Somewhat of a cliff hanger at the end which will get the readers to want to read the other title in the series.

Chloe and Gabe; what great main characters. They had known each other for so much of their lives growing up. They hadn't really seen much each other in a while. But that kiss on New Year's Eve? That really did change everything....Gabe saw who Chloe was and he really liked everything about her; just as she is. Chloe had been so worn down by her boyfriend/supposed fiance. He was all for number 1- himself and his abusive behavior was both verbal and physical. And he seemed to be escalating. Time will show just how vile he is. It was kind of fun to have BOTH of the main people rich billionaires even though it was part of the problem when it come to Chloe and her ex. Gabe treats Chloe like gold; even as he struggles with some hesitation when it comes to being more than just a friend to her. He knows she needs time to heal. She is his best friend's sister which should put her off limits. But that only works for so long because he really does care for her. I can see why there is a 18+ reader suggestion because there will be sex scenes. Some surprises are in store, there is a H.E.A. This a good stand alone story without any real cliffhanger. Although one question remains unanswered. What happened to Ellie, Chloe's best friend? There is a quick look into the answers to that in the Excerpt at the back of the book called, "Billionaire Undaunted". On a side note or two, I want to mention that I think that it was helpful for the story to contain warning signs for women when it comes to unhealthy relationships. Also that Chloe finally got help and counseling. That wasn't done in a preaching or condemning way either. Nicely done. I also really liked the attractive cover for the eBook.

I love this series and the fact that the stories (outside of the fact that all the friends are billionaires) are not. Repetition of a story with a different character. I love that Ms. Scott is not afraid to tackle subjects sometimes considered taboo. In this book you have a female wealthy woman with body issues. Are they her issues or are they being influenced by her fiancée. CHloe has to come to grip with her engagement and realize not everything is as it seems. She gets the opportunity to breakaway and a childhood friend offers her the opportunity to heal. Gave has known Chloe since childhood but since he kissed her on New Year’s Eve, he can’t seem to stop thinking about her . She has always been a no, no, since she is his Best Friend’s little sister but circumstances have given him and opportunity, he can’t pass up. The result plot and story is very good, it has parts that can be a trigger for people with sexual abuse or self image issues. Worth the reading. Now off to read Billionaire Undaunted.

Loved this book, how it tells women to take care of themselves and beware of abuse. Recommended to all women in an abusive situation.

Wow, after months of speculation for Chloe and Gabe's story, the eight book in The Billionaire's Obsession Series was finally all mine and I couldn't wait to meet the characters, however, this was a different and more serious approach from the Queen of Romance, J.S. Scott who introduces the reader into the life of sweet Chloe Colter. Nothing could have prepared me to read some of the things she had to endured in her relationship to the man she thought was meant to be the one she would spend the rest of her life with. With some elements of abuse, we are privy to a glimpse into some of the terrifying things she has to go through at the hands of a cruel and evil man, her fiancé James. A chance encounter with the sexy Gabe Walker, who has been a friend of the family for many years, put some things into perspective for Chloe and sets some of the wheels in motion to kick start a new stage in her life. Gabe never expected to have the woman who has occupied most of his thoughts to finally be close to him, but never in a million years did he expect to know what she has suffered and how much this has affected her, emotionally & physically. He has to save her in more ways that one. Chloe has to learn to not only learn to flight an abuser for also fight her demons if she wants to have a chance to a happy life. As always, J.S. Scott carries the story in such a passionate and tender way. We see the characters in a new light and how they develop as we read along. There were however some suspenseful twist that will make the reader hurry to read along and find out what happens next, and oh boy did she have me enthralled and entertained. A complete page turner, Billionaire Unbound is another hit in a line of fascinating stories. A great story and very well written. Abuse is a tough subject to write about and do it well. Ms Scott has done just that. The subject of abuse is only a part of this story. This is a true romance. A love story and a great one.

Its a one time read book ... following usual romance novel architecture... Nothing extraordinary... But interesting enough to keep you hooked..i had a good time reading this one
