Ravensburger Jack Vettriano: The Singing Butler - 1000 Piece Puzzle

My wife and I bought this for our seven year wedding anniversary. She had wanted this puzzle for a long time. Since we were dating in fact. I am a puzzle novice, but she is the expert. She said that the pieces together nicely. She also told me that the picture was high-quality and beautiful. Surprisingly, the box was even sturdy. After putting this puzzle together in just a couple of days, we decided to make it a permanent fixture on her bedroom wall. A great wall hanger!

Excellent puzzle. Good quality and challenging. It was obvious when a piece fit (unlike some puzzles where the fit is loose and you wonder half the time if that piece really goes there...) but it didn't have wonky shapes that made it a dead giveaway either.

My mother's hobby is putting together puzzle pieces. I bought this for her and she enjoyed it, and it came out gorgeous. Her only complaint was that it was surprisingly easy despite several parts that are the same color, but I don't know if that's just because she's so good at it.

This was my first time to purchase a Ravensburger Puzzle. The pieces are cut well, no connected edges. Each individual piece was perfectly glued/sealed, no loose curved edges. The colors were true, fun to piece together; also makes the end product worthy of permanently sealing & displaying. The puzzle has a non-slip backing, puzzles don't seem to slip off the table. The most impressive feature was a NO GLARE sealant which I'm very impressed with! I will purchase this brand of puzzle again!

this puzzle is awful because the color of the pieces do not in any way resemble the colors of the painting. It is a shame that the puzzle maker did such a disservice to the artist! I have seen reproductions of this work that are really lovely. We have done countless puzzles by Ravensburger and they have been fine. It would be nice if you informed them to withdraw this one. G. This puzzle is a painting from Jack Vettriano called "Singing Butler". It is not an easy puzzle as it looks in the image! I have been working on it for about one month and I guess I have completed about 60% so far. Sky part is definitely the hardest part and there are many similar blue and purple pieces. I have not spent so much time on it though.If you have done Ravensburger puzzles before and you were impressed by the quality of the pieces, this will be the same and won't disappoint you. I guess it will look very pretty when it's framed.

This puzzle was a nice challenge, much of the sky had similar coloring so you had to carefully look at the shapes, but there was enough color gradient that it wasn't impossible to determine the general area for pieces. The image is beautifully done, true to color. Once I finished and glued the puzzle it makes a very attractive piece of art on my wall.

Not me - I took one look and said, "no thanks." But it was a gift for an elderly friend who LOVES jigsaw puzzles. She opened it and there was a plastic bag with all the pieces. Then she looked at the cover and there was a little gasp - "oh my," she said, "look at all the dark places. But she loved the picture, she loved the obvious quality and before we looked any further, she got her table, her chair and her light. She's happily assembling a very nice picture now. And I'm a hero. Life is good. Thank you Ravensburger.

Got this for my mother and she was very very happy - shame its only a 1000 piece but the image itself is so unique compared to what you usually see on puzzles that it kept her enthralled anyway.

Da tempo desideravo aggiungere alla mia collezione di puzzle anche questo "quadro" di Jack Vettriano e sono rimasta molto soddisfatta del risultato. Qualità impeccabile quella firmata Ravensburger, come sempre; consegna nei tempi di Amazon, e immagine di grande effetto quando l'ho montata in una cornice nera. Non è tra i soggetti più difficili che ho composto ma richiede molta pazienza soprattutto quando si fa la spiaggia. Consigliato.

Very taxing as it is a dark painting and many things are similar in colour, I have glued it and put it in a frame and it is on our spare bedroom wall,rather than have to make it again as I could not put myself through it all over again! it is a really nice puzzle once made. Well made pieces

Puzzlefreunde, die die Kitschmotive der Puzzlehersteller (leider auch von Ravensburger) durchforsten, atmen immer auf, wenn sie ausnahmsweise mal ein anspruchsvolles Motiv entdecken. So wie hier. Dazu kommt, dass die Materialqualität hervorragend ist. Wunderbar!

El puzzle es entretenido, me ha costado un poco acabarlo, pero una vez hecho queda precioso. Lo he enmarcado y queda genial.
