Hymns For Two Intermediate Piano Duet 1 Piano 4 Hands

I enjoyed the arrangements in this book, but it is NOT intermediate level. I would say more mid to advanced beginner. If you are looking for more difficult pieces this might not be the book for you, but for a year 3 to 4 piano student, this would be a great addition to your music library.

Deserve beautiful arrangements for intermediate pianists! I really love playing them and could use these for church services. It’s a really nice collection of hymns.

I bought this duet book for my mother and I to play together when I go to visit her. She is much better than I am, so she does the lower part and I do the upper part. Since I am not as good, there are times that I may just play the right hand of my part and not the left hand, and it often still sounds pretty good. I'm sure if I had time to practice I would be able to play both hands, and eventually I will get them down.And I really want to , because I think these arrangements sound really good. Looking forward to playing these will be good motivation for me to sit down and practice.And another thing - I don't think any of these arrangements have any more than two sharps or flats in the key signatures, so no difficult keys to play in. Most only have 1 sharp or flat or are in the key of C.

This book was more difficult than I expected based on the other reviews. I bought it for two 6th graders to play together for church. I'd say they are of typical ability for their age. They managed to work it out, but it took a great deal of effort on their part. One person has to read both hands in treble clef, and the other person has to read both hands in bass clef. That's not what they are accustomed to, so it made it difficult for them. Also the arrangements, while lovely, were complicated for students of this ability level.

I have been looking for a duet book for my younger brother and I to play in church. My brother's piano level is early intermediate, and my level is advanced. Apparently, nobody makes books for those two levels to play together, so I was either stuck with a book meant for two intermediates, or a book meant for a very advanced teacher and an elementary student. Not wishing to insult my brother, I opted for this option :) It has been fairly good, although for me it is a bit too easy. My part is pretty much all octaves, and that gets a little boring. But I am looking forward to be able to play with my brother in church!

Book is good for the ability of my children. Order met my expectations.

I like this book because it is for 2 people which is hard to come by and the songs sound pretty good, but they are writtent for late beginner early intermediate.

I really liked the book, although it was a bit easier level than I anticipated.
