Easy to apply and water beads well.
I found this product very easy to apply to our newly weathered decking. The oil brings out the grain in the timber nicely with a slight depth in colour. I would recommedn this product and purchase it again.

Superb oil, but read this review.
Thought I would write this to help people out. I am a professional decking renovator and use Osmo oils all the time, I know what I'm talking about here.I hear all the time people slagging this oil off for being weak or no colour, well the reason is you HAVEN'T mixed it up. These oils are very highly pigmented, this pigment settles to the bottom of the tin in quite a thick consistency. I have found over the years that simply shaking or stirring isn't sufficient to blend it all together. You need to really shake this up for a good few minutes. Now as a professional user I actually drop around 8 x 8mm ball bearings into the tin, then give it a bloody good shake. The middle picture shows a freshly opened tin, it looks like it has colour but it isn't mixed properly. The tin on the right has a nice uniform consistency. Now you won't get the coverage they say in their guide, 24sqM per L is noweher near what you will get. I base it on around 14sqM per L on the 1st coat and 24sqM per L on the 2nd coat. Basing it on this will ensure you have enough oil. You will NOT get 2 coats on 24sqM per L coverage, trust me.Now for the actual colours, you can Google search colours to your hearts content but the honest truth is that every deck will dry different. Depending on the age of the wood and the prep put into cleaning it will denote its finished shade. Fresh new wood will dry a lot lighter with a more subtle orange undertone. Weathered and aged wood will dry a bit darker with a tint more like natural oak. The deck in the above picture had never been treated but had aged for about 18 months, it was cleaned and then given 2 coats of this Osmo garapa oil. As you can see its a very natural colour but not as light as some colour swatches you'll find online.I love these oils and they go down so nicely, they offer excellent weather protection and water just beads on the surface. All in per sqM it doesn't work out much more than a cheaper oil, and you can buy them in 750ml tins so you don't have to over buy.
