Ormond; or, the Secret Witness: With Related Texts (Hackett Classics)

Barnard and Shapiro's introduction to Ormond--as well as to other works of Brown's--is enlightening, thorough, and enjoyable to read. Most of us skip the introduction, and a lot of the times it's for good reason since it doesn't provide much context other than the author's personal commentary about the text. However, B&S's intros are worthy of having scholarship written on their introductions separate from Brown's texts.

Beware, this is marketed as the whole book, but it's Volume 2... of 3. So if you just purchase this copy, you will only be getting the middle chapters of the story. Very confused !!

Wenn man das Werk für die Universität o.Ä. benötigt. Der Text ist mit ausgesprochen detaillierten Anmerkungen versehen, sodass man selbst ohne die angefügte Sekundärliteratur oder die Einleitung zum Text viele Dinge näher versteht. Vor allem der geschichtliche Hintergrund der hier bereitgestellt wird ist sehr nützlich!Von mir eine absolute Kaufempfehlung!
