Cheap and mostly serviceable
This meter does what it's supposed to do, theoretically, although the manual that came with it talks about an audio alert on continuity tests that as far as I can tell doesn't actually exist on this device. The probes are VERY tight and one would tend to almost think they weren't even made for this device with the amount of force that it takes to actually get them seated. Then they tend to work back out if you turn the bases of the probes, so I'm really not convinced that it's even possible to actually fully seat them and have them stay. Or that they were ever originally manufactured for this particular device. It does seem to work okay, lack of audio aside, but honestly it feels and looks cheap, and I'm not convinced I won't be forced to purchase a replacement before long. Once in a while you can get good stuff inexpensively, but this really isn't one of those cases. I gave it three stars just because it is so darn cheap and shipped free with prime, so I do have to expect pretty much what I got, but honestly? If this thing had cost even a dollar or two more it would definitely drop down to one or two star territory. If you need a super-cheap meter for VERY occasional light use, this might be for you. If you're like me and use it even semi-regularly, you're going to be very disappointed in this guy.

Cheap battery tester
Like others, I use this primarily for testing battery voltage where it certainly gets the job done. Don't have anything to say about the other features.

Not perfect but not too bad.
Well, I just bought this today so obviously, this is my initial impression. I didn't get it on Amazon (bought it local) but I always look for reviews when I buy something and since this one didn't have many, I figured I'd throw my two cents in. I'll certainly update this review if I have anything new to report in the future. Initial Impressions? Not bad. I'm not a pro and I don't know that much about these things. But if you even so much as need to test batteries, you can always use one of these around the house. I'm at least savvy enough (with the help of the sparse manual that's included) to figure out what I need to know. Unfortunately, the manual will be easy to lose and if you don't have a great memory or you don't already know what you're doing, you might have to do some research every time you need to use it Well, anyway, I wanted one of these for a while. I didn't really want to order it. I happened on it in the store today. It was the only digital meter they had so that really narrowed things down. The price didn't seem bad. Though if you want one you intend to use a lot and you want it to last a long time, you might want to shop around. From what I gather, really good ones are significantly more expensive but at nearly $20, the price on this one is getting to the point to where you really need to think about it. I've never heard of this brand. I'd never seen any reviews on this before I bought it. It was mainly an impulse buy. I would not be surprised if it only lasted a couple of years. On the bright side, I bought this with a couple of very specific tasks already planned for it and it's already done what I needed it for. So if it lasts a few years beyond that and I get some good use out of it, I guess it was worth it. It seems that uses for these meters tend to come up unexpectedly every now and then and when they do, if you don't have one on hand, it can be a pain to go looking for one. Especially when you're in the middle of something. I would honestly buy with caution though if you're thinking of getting this from Amazon. It's not the kind of thing that's even worth trying to return if it doesn't work or something.

Got the job done
I needed this to test continuity and resistance on a simple appliance repair and it worked perfectly for my purposes. I imagine that it may not be accurate enough for some electronic diagnostics, but it's fine for household use.

good battery tester for the money
I purchased this tester only for checking batteries, and it works great for that. I can't comment on other features. I was a replacement for an old cheap analog tester that simply wasn't accurate enough for a 1.5V battery.
