Good gloves
These are nice basic work gloves. They hold up well to basic yard work so far. They don't hold up to stupid dogs that like to chew though so I don't recommend forgetting them outside in the backyard. Would buy again

Rugged
I use them to cook on the campfire they are warm in the winter too

Good quality & fit! Good price. I highly recommend.
Excellent quality & fit!!! Durable, strong. Comfortable to wear. Protects hands really well!!!! I highly recommend these leather gloves.

Comfortable but not that tough
This is my third pair of these in 6 years. I use them for homeowner yard chores. Most of the abuse comes from handling firewood. They are really comfortable, promote good grip, don’t get hot, and offer great cut protection. I get a bit looser fit size. But I have had the seam by the thumb tear in two gloves. I have had a fingertip tear out on another. Admittedly I am not using them for their stated purpose: fencing. But they are reasonably priced for all the positive features so I will keep buying them.

Great gloves!
Excellent gloves, comfortable fit from the beginning and feels like it will only improve. Seems very durable, not too thick but thick enough for general yard work without sacrificing dexterity. Seems very durable to be water proof as well. Excellent glove for the money

Easy to tear, too thin for a work glove. Not recommended
I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was when I got to the job site and used my new gloves for the first time. A regular simple job of cutting a couple of small trees up and burning the brush. I've been trying to find a good pair of work gloves for months and these looked great with the reinforcements of the index finger, palm, and thumb so I spent extra $ on them. My employee & friend was having a hard finding quality work gloves as well so I bought him a pair for Christmas. He does a lot of mechanical work and lives on a 40 acre farm. When I asked about the gift (3 weeks or so later) of new gloves he was hesitant to answer bc he didn't want to tell me that his had not held up either, he and I both are wearing H.F. $4.99 gloves and actually getting wear out of them. I can buy 4 pairs for the same $ on sale when I buy pkg. of 10. I've been working with the H.F. gloves for 6 weeks now and they are starting to come apart at the at the seams of the forefinger on one of the gloves but still very usable, just simple cheap leather gloves. I definitely Do Not recommend this product and believe it's a waste of money. Although Amazon made it right by me, the manufacturer is still selling them here. Thanks Amazon for excellent customer service and satisfaction! RLB...

Buy these gloves first!
These were the 5th pair of gloves tried for hand-placing 6.5 tons of 4-8"+ granite cobbles into gabbions around my yard. First 4 pairs from various other brands wore through the fingertips in less than a day from the jagged stone. After one week and a ton or two of rocks moved (plus lots of digging/raking), these gloves are holding up with minimal wear and tear!So if you want gloves that protect your digits from highly abrasive/sharp rocks, get these! The seams are comfortable enough, and the leather is keeping my hands relatively cool (unlike gloves made with synthetics or TPA rubber). For working with heavy stones, wish these gloves had impact protection on the back of the knuckles (maybe Wells Lamont will read this) - but none of the impact resistant gloves I tried were durable enough. The minimal padding on the palm is okay by me, as I'm not operating a jack hammer with these.

Lasted less than 3 hours - not impressed
I thought I would try these gloves as they are significantly less expensive than the Youngstown gloves I usually buy (about 30% of the price!). I may have received a bad batch, but given where the gloves have failed, I don't think this is the case. I purchased these gloves specifically for working with barbed wire and fencing work. They are not suitable for the job. As can be seen in the images, the right hand glove developed a massive hole after less than 3 hours of use. The gloves are still clean! The hole also formed in a non-contact part of the glove, which was surprising. I persevered for a period, but then the fingers started to develop holes and I started to get spiked. I'm working with standard high-tensile barb removing fences (no razor wire or cutting edges). The only reason they get one star is that before they broke, they did work to prevent me getting punctured. your mileage may vary, but I will be looking for a refund on these and go back to Youngstown kevlar-lined gauntlets despite the rediculously high price. Better than getting tetanus!

Water Resistant-NO
If you are looking for leather gloves that are water resistant, I do not recommend them, as they get wet immediately.

Good gloves
Great work gloves, as some others have commented some of the stitching for the palm pad did start coming undone after a few days of hard use.Just restitched myself and they were better than new..so good that they were taken from me never to be seen again.Have purchased a second pair.

Buenos guantes
Son cómodos y residentes, hasta cierto punto hasta estéticos, se ven de buena calidad.
User
Awful. Buy any other Wells Lamont gloves the yellow leather are awesome. These are garbage.
I always use Wells Lamont yellow leather gloves on my small farm. They usually last longer than even identical looking other brands.I got these for fencing. They fit the same as the yellow ones, XL size. Pulling them on the second time the suede (which is paper thin) tore at the cuff and now there is a large hole. Poor.
