We’re proud to present the first real breakthrough in grips that we’ve seen in years, the patented Enlow Grips…the grips of the 21st century. When swinging a golf club there are two main concerns: power and control of the club, which both lead to better aim at the desired distance. While technology has improved every aspect of the game over the past 20 years, Enlow’s revolutionary grips, which conform to USGA and R&A equipment rules, finally bring the impact of technology to the grips. Featuring a radical reverse tapered design, the narrow end of their grip is at the top of the club while the wider end is at the player’s fingertips, creating a more ergonomically correct golf club. The increased diameter at the fingertips increases control by conforming more closely to a resting hand shape and results in a more comfortable swing and improved head control. This design also reduces injuries to the hands, shoulders and wrists and adds to the overall enjoyment of the game. In addition, people who suffer from arthritis have found these grips make it possible to continue playing golf well into their senior years. But we didn’t stop there. Enlow Grips are heavier and more massive by design, improving performance and adding durability. By changing the mass of their grips, they are able to reduce vibration due to shock and lower the swing weight by shifting the weight to the grip end. This unique development moves the flex point of the shaft closer to the hands and adds more power to your swing. Enlow grips: Less stress due to arthritis Straighter shot pattern More touch and feel in clubs, including putter Added power to swing Fewer injuries to hands, shoulders, wrists More comfortable Less vibration due to shock Improved grip in extreme weather conditions such as rain or heat

Mostly Positive, Just Two Negatives
I purchased a full set of these reverse taper grips directly from Mr. Enlow at the Seattle Golf Show in 2017. Here's a concise breakdown of the positive and negative aspects I've experienced during the two years of use:POSITIVE:1. My hands are relatively small, but I have some arthritis due to chemical exposure from a Middle East deployment. Reverse taper grips allow me to use much less pressure, which helps me maintain a smoother swing.2. Additional cushioning effect mitigates the shock of mis-hits, "chunks, chili-dips, and shanks".3. The surface has retained the checkering and tackiness after two years of use; I was caught in a rain squall yesterday without my rain gloves, and my clubs didn't slip after a quick swipe of my damp towel.4. The reverse taper helps me to grip the club consistently for a normal stroke.5. My grips are University of Washington Purple, which helps me rep my grad school alma mater! (Go Huskies!)NEGATIVES:1. The oversize and reverse taper design has led to my clubs tearing out the liner of two lightweight carry bags when I pull the clubs out to make a shot, and it is frequently difficult to get the clubs all the way back in my bag. Replacing my favorite bags is getting expensive, so much so that I'm considering replacing the grips with a more traditional style.2. "Gripping down" for a bump and run or lob/flop shot is not as comfortable or effective as with standard taper grips. (Remember, I've got smaller hands, so this might not affect golfers with big mitts!)SUMMARY: The overall playing performance of my Enlow reverse taper grips has been pretty good. (Good enough to score a Double Eagle, aka Albatross, on the Par 5 Hole #1 at Chambers Bay last week!) If I had it to do over again, I likely would only put these grips on my driver, fairway woods, and hybrid, and leave my irons with traditional style grips.

should be tried by every golfer
right upfront I will tell you this is a bigger change than you think.. I also think the positives outweigh the negatives and the only risk for trying is giving yourself a tough decision to make if you like these the same as traditional grips.. buy one for your Driver or two for Driver and a 7 or 8 iron.. or commit and buy a set like I did.. I use on Driver, 4 Wood, 4,5,6,7,8,9,W and traditional for 52*, 56*, 60*.. these grips are over twice as heavy as regular grips.. this means you will have faster clubhead speed and the head will feel lighter.. couple that with the reverse taper (skinnier on top, thicker near the shaft) and the grip overall is thicker, similar to oversize/jumbo.. the shape makes sense, the two fingers furthest from the thumb on your top hand are the least able to grip more and that's where regular grips are thickest and the thumb and two fingers closest to the thumb on the bottom hand are the easiest to grip thicker and regular grips are skinnier there.. it's a culture shock with multiple variants to process.. I gained 20-25 yds on my Driver immediately, but also hit the sweet spot less.. I couldn't walk away from the extra distance (10 -15 yds with irons) and the shape that felt superior in principle and comfort.. my consistency has improved but still getting used to them after 20 rounds.. with all the money spent on new clubs hoping to gain fractions, I think every golfer from super serious to hacker should try these.. they won't be liked by everybody but more golfers than you'd anticipate will play better and go this way..
