Pasta Fresca: An Exuberant Collection of Fresh, Vivid, and Simple Pasta Recipes

A few good recipes not the best pasta cookbook out there.

I ve had book for a few years. One of my favorites. Bought this one for a grandson who is beginning to make his own pasta.Recipes in book range from simple to semi complex which is fun, but they are all tasty. And, they don t call for esoteric ingredients as so many cook books do (eg. ...use two ear lobes from a Siberian musk ox... come on! )The recipe for Spaghetti Alla Carbonara (page 106 in my book) is one of my all time favorites.The fact that I bought it for a grandson prolly is all the recommendation I can give.

This pasta book is excellent! After visiting Italy many years ago, I longed for good pasta! The recipes in this book are healthy and easy to make. We rarely eat out Italian as we find that what I make from this book is better than what's available at restaurants! Haven't had a clam linguine better than this in the states, although I have altered the recipe to use a little less wine and a little more broth. I purchased this book for both my sisters years ago and recently purchased two for my teenage kids to have when they're in their own kitchen! This one is a real gem!

I found "Pasta Fresca" when it first came out in the early '90s and have loved it ever since. The recipes are easy, simple, and fresh. Summer Spaghetti: Fresh tomatoes and basil, marinated at room temperature with garlic and olive oil, tossed with mozzarella and hot pasta. "Beach Pasta": Small pasta shells, tuna, tomatoes, olives, and anchovies. Both have become staples for me, and every new recipe I try from the book turns out well. I can't recommend this book highly enough. It also makes a great wedding present for couples just starting out.

From raw pasta sauces for the depth of summer, great sauces from pantry staples, and vegetable garden pastas, to the cheesey and baked, there are great recipes in here for anyone. Among the several dozens of cookbooks collected over the years, this one stays at the top and I continue to discover new gems. Great gift for the grad student or new cook, but you'll find recipes that will join our repertoire for life.

The book arrived in the timeframe promised by the seller. It's one of my favorite cookbooks for Italian pasta recipes. Even my husband, who is Italian, considers this a staple in our collection of cookbooks.

I purchased this book as a gift for a friend who is exploring pasta cooking techniques. I chose this book because I have an appreciation for the simplicity of the recipes and the pure flavors that are discovered as a result. Amazing.

I made pasta for the first time using this book. It was easy to follow and my family loved my first batch. There certainly weren't any leftovers.
