It arrived in a thin paper, barely padded paper shipping envelope which was slightly torn. There was no damage to the product from the tear however the presentation box itself looked as if it had been used. My guess is this happened during shipping when other heavier packages had been tossed on top it this fragile giftbox. The red velvet nap was discernably flattened on one side of the top and the bottom, which made it look used. I have requested another one and asked for it to please be shipped inside a box with some additional form of bubble wrap protection during shipping. It's value is due to it's unique design, however I would have expected a sturdier/firmer interior for displaying the ring in. The ring slot sort of collapses when inserting the ring. Needs a firmer interior to support the ring if you plan to take it in and out much, I suspect won't hold up.

I am traveling to see a lifelong friend. I purchased a very pretty gold Y chain from my long term jeweler and though I got a great deal on the piece the "pouch" did not lend itself to a proper presentation. I looked at the measurements since I knew I have a "y" to display which would take a larger box. I'm not a huge fan of Chinese goods and assume this was made there, but have to say I was pleasantly pleased at the quality of the box and am happy to give this to my friend. I like the design. It is rather unique. It protects a ring that I had custom-made using some gemstones that I inherited from my mother. It is taller than the average ring box but it does fit in my jewelry armoire. It is identical to the photo that appears in the online link.

This is a lovely gift box and will make the ring we're giving our granddaughter look that much more expensive.

This jewelry box looks good but not fit my hanging earrings. It would be better if they have the design for hanging earrings.
