This thing was a complete waste of money. It's so quiet, I can easily set it off indoors and it barely bothers anybody. It's far quieter than a household fire alarm. It's quieter than many childrens' toys. I don't believe it would scare or deter any attacker. It might annoy them slightly, but that's probably not a good idea. It would be more effective to blow a whistle or just scream.

Luckily, I've never been in a situation where I've had to use this. But I have tested out it's functionalities.I've had it for a few weeks able, and despite it hanging off a very inconspicuous location on my bag that's easily reachable (and thus it's always bumping against things), I've never accidentally pulled the pin to trigger the alarm. I did accidentally push the test button on the side when I leaned on it once though.I tested it out of curiosity and can confirm that it is piercingly dissonant and loud. Painfully loud - louder than any noise I could naturally produce myself. So much that I was desperately trying to cover the big round speaker on the front with my palm while shoving the pin back in. But at least I now know that it's easy to pull and trigger, but not likely to do so on accident.It came with a pretty handy little carabineer that's about an inch long. Which is how I hooked it to my bag. The battery cover on the back is sturdy, but I suspect that it wouldn't do well if I brought it out in the rain or got it wet.Overall, I feel better knowing it's there, but I hope to never need to use it.

Very effective deterrent tool that can be used even by any age. It's light handy and easy to carry. You can turn it on very quickly. Just a push of a button.I bought one for my neighbor who works a night job, and you know how hard it is to work by night. She was extremely happy and impressed by eAlarm and its highest level of performance. She wanted to buy two more for her own kids. I I was not surprised. This device is needed in every house in California or other States especially after all those illegal criminals were spread everywhere in our country, with no way to protect yourself except through eAlarms specifically BASU ones, since it is the original and the first one of these safety tools to be in the market. Being the first in the market means a lot. It earns all your trust and its performance proved to be extremely effective over and over again.So there is no room for hesitation in choosing this product.

Love how this product functions but 2 big issues: 1) not very loud. 2) if you move it around I’m your pocket it easily sets off. Keeps going off accidentally at work.

This product is very functional and easy to use. You just have to pull down the bottom part of it and the noise will sound for quite some time. Indoors the sound that emits from this little product is pretty good. Outdoors I just wish I was a tad bit louder. However, I think it will still be okay, at the very least bring attention to anyone around. I brought this product for my wife for security reasons and she enjoys it throughly since it clips right on her book bag and it’s not noticeable since it blends it. It almost looks like a keychain than anything else. I like how you can test the sound as well pretty quickly by pressing the button on the side. I’m looking forward to see how long the battery last on this. It’s really difficult to sound the alarm on it without some intentional effort, so I wouldn’t be too concerned about it being carried in a bag because I know my wife can carry so much in her bag. I just gave it four stars because I wish it was just a little louder outside but I would still recommend it to anyone.

Sadly we need to be proactive to protect ourselves. I bought 2 of these safety devices ( one for my adult daughter who does a lot of business traveling) and one for my granddaughter who has to work odd shifts and walk through garages etc in the dark. Fortunately they have not needed to use the devices but it is the simplest device on the market I could find and can be quickly activated. The black color was not available which was my only complaint but regardless, I am buying 2 more for my other daughters.

I really like the size of this alarm. It's solid and it fits well as a keychain. I've had other personal alarms before and they were bigger. Also, I got this because the battery is suppose to last a long time, unlike the other ones. I'll find out when the time come. I like that I can press the button to test the sound out instead of pulling it off.
