LOOBANI Adjustable Dog Sling for Medium Dogs Hind Leg Support ACL Recovery

This dog sling has been very helpful. I’m pleased with it because it is simple to use and gives good support for the back legs. The handles feel sturdy, and the padding makes it more comfortable for my dog when I need to help lift or guide him. It’s especially useful for helping a dog get up, walk outside, or move around without putting too much pressure on their back end. For my purpose, it works well and gives me more confidence when helping my dog. I’m glad I bought it and would recommend it to anyone caring for a dog that needs extra rear-leg or hip support.

I don't often do reviews, but I just had to with this one. Our furbaby Lexa was having knee surgery and I went to Amazon for assistance. This sling is a true lifesaver, for her and for me. Before surgery, I had to lift her into the car (80 pound chub chub) and it was a struggle. She couldn't jump due to degraded knee cap. When surgery was on the books, I found this sling to assist with her 12 week recovery period (we are in week 2). This sling has helped in so many ways! 1. To assist in lifting in and out of vehicle 2. Walking her with assistance out to potty and back to bed per doctors orders 3. controlling her when her pain meds kick in and she thinks she is going to just spurt off on a run (BELIEVE ME, it happens alot) it prevents her from hurting herself because she forgets she can't walk, let alone run with her new hardware and knee that is still fusing together and brittle and causing more damage or undoing what the surgery just corrected). 4. It helps me get her in and out of her kennel since she can't put full weight on her leg yet. 5. It helps me get her up after taking a break out of her kennel and resting comfortably next to us in the evenings. 6. It has a dual purpose LOL I toss the handle strap over her head, and hold onto the other end, and it makes for a great harness control so that she feels unconstrained, but I can predict her attempt to get up or off her bed before she can do it. *If you have a senior dog or any age dog, that just needs that little extra help for any reason, GET THIS SLING NOW. I love that I am able to adjust the strap length, depending on if I am taking her out or if my husband is. super easy and doesn't slip loose like some adjustable straps. I is super soft under her tummy, she doesn't object to it at all and when pottying, gives her a comfortable yet sturdy support so that when she goes to posture for pottying, allows her to go without fear of over using her leg. Can't say enough about this product. So if you dog is going into surgery and you need to create a towel sling, my thought is ok, that will work in a pinch but if you are taking your dog out, day and night several times a day, and you have to adjust your posture to allow for a towel to support them, it's going to get uncomfortable for you, and the death grip on said towel, pretty quickly. Love this and as stated, a true lifesaver!

Exactly as described. Made well. Perfect size although seller offers replacement within 24 hour notification if incorrect size. Working very well for my 75# pit that injured his leg. 5 stars!

Who I am: Professional pet sitter Dog/Use case: 40-lb mixed breed with rear-leg weakness (CCL rehab). Used for stair ascents and stand-assist from lying down. Size bought: Medium (per chart), worked, but narrow for this dog. I recommended the owners buy a Large for better belly coverage. What works: The sling slides under easily and the faux-sheepskin lining gives good cushion without hotspots. My client dog accepted it quickly; her confidence and trust clearly improved once she felt secure. The strap adjustments are generous and quick, so I can dial height for different handlers or shoes. Design gripe: The separate little piece meant to hold the two straps together is clunky and easy to lose. This should be sewn onto the straps. Functionally it still works, but it’s an avoidable annoyance. Pros Easy on/off under a resting dog; helpful for quick stand-assist Cushioned lining; comfortable contact Forgiving strap adjustments; fits different handler heights Noticeable confidence boost for the dog on stairs Cons Medium runs narrow for a 40-lb dog, likely better in Large Loose strap keeper piece feels like a design afterthought and is easy to misplace Tips from the field Consider a size up for coverage and stability. Add a Velcro cable tie or small carabiner as a strap keeper so the handles stay together (and you don’t lose the separate piece). Keep sessions short at first; reward calm standing so the dog associates the sling with safety. Bottom line: As a hands-on lift aid for stairs and getting up, this sling is effective and comfortable. The Medium technically works at 40 lb, but it’s narrow, the Large is the safer bet for many dogs that size. Despite the fiddly strap keeper, I still recommend it for the security it gives both handler and dog.

My aging German shepherd started getting the common dreaded hip issues and towards the end of his life couldn't really get up on his own anymore. This sling was very very helpful for this as it is soft and not hard on him when being lifted. Its easy to slide under him and has handles on both sides that are adjustable. Unfortunately he passed but for the last several months of his life it allowed us to still get him up/down and try and have a better quality of life in the end.

Our 15 year old, 30 lb Welsh Corgi is no longer able to climb the stairs and she hates being picked up. Trying to catch her and get her up the stairs at night while she was fighting us all the way was getting dicey for her and us! This has been a game changer! It’s taken a bit to get her used to it but now she actually gets into position for us to slip this underneath her and she is ready to go. Her little front legs are able to do the work while we support her hind quarters with the sling and she’s clearly excited when she gets to the top, having gotten there at least partially under her own steam. It’s also helped us get her into our RV more easily as those steps are way too steep for her. If you’ve got a dog with mobility issues, give this a try! We have found that holding the straps in both hands gives us more control than trying to hold both straps in one hand.

Works ok but slips to hind legs easily going down stairs

As advertised. The inside is very soft and cozy. The straps are easily adjustable for making it fit at the right height. We haven't really needed it since I bought it because our dog got better but it's way nicer than a towel which is what we had been using. Now we have it ready in case she gets dizzy and wobbly again. The medium size range will fit our other dog too if he needs it. The sling even came with a nylon bag to put it in for storage. Happy with purchase.

Arrived way earlier than expected (was supposed to arrive for another 12 days). I got a large for my 13 yr old shar pei/pitt who weights about 73 lbs. and has arthritis in her hips. She’s on previcox so we only need to get in/out of the car because my suv seats are quite high (even with a ramp) and she can’t lift her legs that much or jump anymore. The sling is very high quality, perfect starching and looks like it’ll hold up a long time. The outer canvass makes it rigid enough to not crumple up at the waist but it’s still completely flexible and comfortable for her. I choose this style because I can pop it on & off her tummy while she’s walking in a split second. Especially helpful if she ends up having trouble mid stair - her can assist her in a flash instead of trying to hook up a harness

This has been really great. It makes lifting my elderly dogs rear legs up to get it up off the floor as well as to assist it in the car. Fantastic and gently on my dog and super easy to use. Makes it so much easier in assisting my dog up
