Floor box cover for receptacle installation.

Excellent value having purchased and installed similar products. I found none of the shortcomings posted in some of the reviews. The connection box is much sturdier than most commercially available "old work" boxes. The cutout for the box is 4" diameter but a 5" diameter x 1/4" deep recess allows the box flange to become flush with the floor surface. The cover 5-1/4" diameter and will completely cover the opening. My installation required a 5" hole through the engineered hardwood and a 4" diameter hole through the underlayment and subfloor giving a very low profile and aesthetic appearance. A solid hardwood floor could be easily rabbeted to accommodate a flush installation.

Nice product though when installed as directed with the rubber gaskets, it protrudes up more from our hardwood floors than we would have liked. We had to install without the gaskets to get it to sit flat and have more aesthetic appeal though I certainly would not recommend this installation in rooms with any potential of water (i.e. kitchen, bathroom, laundry).

Finished brass cover looks great. Plastic box a bit flimsy but functional. Under floor mounting screws barely strong enough to do any good; I ended up screwing top flange into the hardwood floor. Still satisfied enough to order a second Assembly since I already have the 4" hole saw.

The ad for these is accurate and they are easy to put in. Less than a day to put two of them in, with many distractions : ) Looks wonderful on our hardwood floor
