ZVOX VoiceBud VB20 Hearing Aid with Two-Microphone NoiseBlocker Technology, App Control (Beige Right)

As a 12 year Phonac hearing aide user, I was told by my audiologist, that my aides are obsolete and I needed to invest in a blue tooth, noise cancelling etc pair costing up to $6000.00. I am retired now,and needless to say, watching my penniesand not spending that amount any time soon. Started my research and decided to purchase the right ear amplifier to test them out. Within the first hour, I was thrilled that this unit made me hear clearly with just one amplifier! Hooking it up with my iPhone was a snap. Twenty four hours later, I was able to check my battery useage, talk on my cell phone to my children and hear them with not telling them I could not hear them or to repeat what they were saying and now enjoy hearing the tv programs without telling my husband to increase the volume. This hearing amplifier is awesome and I will purchase the left ear as well. This works remarkably fantastic and I am blown away by this technology at an incredible affordable price. Don’t hesitate to purchase these units and put that extra money you have saved in enjoying a dinner at your favorite restaurant and hearing the people you are with!

When others are paying thousands of dollars for their hearing aids, I feel very lucky to have found these gems. They work very well, and I love the fact that I can adjust and assess them via Bluetooth from an app on my smartphone; for example, seeing how much juice is left in each battery, or changing from one of the four modes to another. I gave "battery life" three stars because the batteries die after a few days, whether in the hearing aids or not. Not the fault of the device; it's just the way hearing-aid batteries are.

This was the 2nd one I bought. The first lasted a year. This one 4 months. I love the sound selectivity and wish they had a product with a longer life. I contacted customer service and they seem to only have 1 guy working and he was hostile and nasty both times offering a new replacement for $100 more than the current cost. Amazon is a way to bypass this behavior. So I am purchasing a third now from Amazon 3/15/2021.

I tried a set of these for a couple of weeks because I know it takes time to get used to them. I was never able to get to the point where they were comfortable for all day wear. Of the four programs, I found only two useful (the other two did not show any difference in hearing ability). I also had to be careful with the volume as to high a volume resulted in a tinny sound. There are bass and treble controls but the settings did not appear to make a difference. They may work for others, just not for me.

The mobile app really lets you adjust the sound to your liking. Left/Right and Bass/Treble as well as the type of sound environment. My Wife doesn't have to repeat things anymore when she is in another room. My son has not said that I've said...Huh, huh! in a long time. I use them between volume 3-4 and they work great. I hear sounds out on a walk I haven't heard in a long time. TV sounds much better as well. Try them, you won't be sorry. Wish you could turn off and on bluetooth to the device to save on the battery usage. Get about 3 days at 3-4 volume.Update:One aid stopped working and Manny from ZVOX is sending another. seems to work pretty well, but after two weeks of use the battery holder broke off and i have been using hearing aids for at least 12 years. contacted them asking them for assistance . that was 3 days ago and was told the would e mail me a shipping label and a form to return the article, to date nada.

There is an annoying ticking that occurs when the battery is wearing down. The battery still has about a half day left but is useless because the ticking cannot be turned off. The only solution is to install a fresh battery. Not green!

They advertised that the ear buds wouldn't be noticed except when they are not used, I find that true. I'm hear significantly better understanding what others say.
