Leviton 8827-CW1 One-Piece Urea Outlet Box Mount, Incandescent Lampholder, Pull Chain, White

I am renting and am sure the old light was about ready to go because one tug and the chain snapped. I watched a quick youtube tutorial so I knew what to expect when I unscrewed the light fixture and make sure I could actually manage the replacement without zapping myself and it was quick and easy to do. I got lucky and the chain broke with the light on, so I had a buddy stand by the fuse box, call me on my cell, and just flipped switches till the light went out. If your light is off, then you may need a voltage tester or way to make sure the power is safely cut to the light before you start handling wires. Then just attach the same color wires to the same color points on the light fixture.I received the light in a day and took under 10 minutes to replace.The chain pulls smooth, the light installed easy and works great. No complaints!

I bought two of these to replace ceramic fixtures that had broken switches. These are made of plastic, not ceramic, and they have a flimsy string instead of a pull chain. I swapped out the strings for chain, and although they don't look as nice as ceramic, they're in closets, so I can live with them. They work just fine, installed very quickly.

I chose this Urea lampholder base over a porcelain replacement due to past porcelain replacements constantly breaking within a year or two. This is less expensive than the porcelain based lampholder and because it is made of urea, it is much less likely to break.The installation is easy, just make sure the circuit breaker is off, then removing two screws, then unscrewing the wires from the old lampholder and replacing them onto the new unit and screwing the new unit back into the box mount and turning the circuit breaker back on. Easy, even for someone who does not consider himself to be a DIY person.

Needed to replace a broken fixture in my laundry room for a long time. Had no idea these were so inexpensive. Wasn't sure about getting a plastic one instead of porcelain, but now I'm sure. Very easy to install, instructions are printed inside the box, which means you gotta tear it open to read them. All I really needed to know was which terminal was hot and which was neutral. This is determined by the color of the set screws for the wires. Silver for hot, brass for neutral. It was so easy, I had my teenage son install it who has never done anything like it before. Installed an LED bulb and done.

A plastic version of the porcelien unit I had to replace due to a bad switch. The internal parts are an exact copy of the porcelien unit so I ead able to put the parts into the porcelian base asit was a simple swap and I prefer the ceramic over plastic which was good just not my prefrence. I feel ceramic is far more heat resistant so I desided to keep the porcelian base in Luis of the plastic. To buy the porcelian would have cost five times the price so this was a cheap solution since my original bade was intact. Great savings.

Mine only lasted two years until the chain came out.

I'm not mr handyman. So, this went in fairly easy on the install and appears to be fairly sturdy. No complaints and good value;

This pull chain light replacement works as expected. The clicking sound when truing off/on is a bit louder than the original, but it works perfectly.

Purchased 2, quality is fine, but assembly required! Minus 1 star for the extra work.1) The chain is NOT through the hole. The chain bend radius is not great, making it tricky to get the entire chain out of the hole. It is possible, just requires patience.2) The chain is not attached to the rope

Easy to install and works great.

Nothing special, but it’s what it’s supposed to be.I didn’t end up using it as my wiring is old and the wires are very tight/crowded inside the outlet box. I was not comfortable as I’m not an electrician. But this is not the products fault, just my own!
