I'm not sure what people are doing that are bending them all up, other than jack-knifing to cause it or not installing correctly. I can still turn really tight without any issue. I did however have a friend weld the bracket to the hitch to keep it from shifting back and forth and potentially loosening the ball, as I've seen others say they had happen. Otherwise it works great with the Reese sway bar, made a HUGE difference and along with firestone air bags on the truck towing is quite pleasant.

This bolt on plate makes it easy to add sway control to your exiting ball mount. You will need to get a ball with a longer shank so there are enough threads to torque the ball with a lock washer but that is quite easy.

Exactlt what I needed. Bought an anti-sway kit from a trailer store and it came with a piece that needed to be welded on the hitch. I don't weld or know ending that does. Found this device and bought a hitch ball with a longer thread so it would fit and is works great. Can be moved to either side of the hitch so it matches the side your trailer sway mount is located.

I shockingly bent my original plate when I took an off camber entrance turn with my trailer and Husky sway bar attached. It literally bent that steel plate up 2”. Insane. I bought this to replace. Super easy to install, fits just like original (actually, probably is the same as there aren’t many options for this).

I would weld this on, just a few simple tach welds will do, nothing fancy. Worked with the harbor freight sway controller. You can use this without welding but I'd recommend the weld just to keep everything from moving so much.

For the money, its a pretty good deal. Very easy to attach to your ball hitch, and needed when you add a stabilizer/sway bar to your hitch to tow your RV.

I could have welded the ball mount adapter that came with the sway bar kit to my 2" drop ball-hitch . But if I change tow vehicles and need a different rise or drop, I would need a total new hitch and new weld on adapter. With this Reese 26003, if need be, I can remove it. Then easily refit it to any other ball-hitch of another rise or drop value.

Installed this so that I could add a trailer sway control arm to my 2000 lb trailer tongue.

A bit expensive but overall it is worth it. No need to weld

Great product and it’s simple to use, it’s nice because in theory you can install it on any hitch but it’s better if you tack weld it in place.Tends to move a little so better with a little weld

This item is very thick metal and hence heavy. I had to file the inner edges somewhat to fit my hitch but great fit otherwise. It seems to be well made and should last for many years
