Cheap metal, no assembly instructions. One side will not go on and the other side jammed 3/4 of the way into the pivot point. Should have just made my own.

flimsy. Hope it works. Baddly packaged. the first two I got were bent at the top and the boxes looked like they'd been thrown off a building. they were mangled and bent. hope it works ok. will get back latter.

pros - works as intended. It's kinda hard to screw up a black painted piece of sheet metal.Con - It's an expensive piece of black painted sheet metal. But it's cheaper here than at the stove store!

This does what it is supposed to do, but it is flimsy and tall and not very attratctive! We took down the fake ugly brick protecting the wall and wanted to leave the wall bare. This helped us to do that. My husband plans on making one soon that will be thicker in material, shorter and thereby more attractive and less noticeable!

This is a great low-cost solution for shielding your walls from woodstove heat. Perfect for a corner setting like ours. Our walls stay cool and we can fold it up and put it in storage when the season is over. Speedy delivery, too.

I was some what disappointed to receive the item and have a corner that was bent. I had no alternative but to keep it and use it as my homeowners insurance required it.

I had a chimney guy at my house to clean the chimney and he suggested that I put some kind of metal heat shield behind my woodstove which is only about 8-10" from a brick wall. What is behind that brick? Who knows? Likely 2x4's that could ignite. With it being a mystery, I bit on the heat shield and purchased the Drolet through Amazon. It fits nicely behind my stove and surprisingly deflects the heat away from the brick wall directly behind the stove despite it's quite thin thickness. I reached behind the Drolet and put my hand on the brick wall... it was cool. Mission accomplished.Some reviews have complained about the packaging. Mine was delivered by UPS and it was double boxed in reasonably thick cardboard. The box showed no signs of damage and the Drolet was spotless when it took it out.
