Would it fit a 12 year old?

I’d think so yes. It doesn’t hang on the face and so only fits when put under a mask. But it should do.

Would this work on a Spider-Man mask to help me feel less claustrophobic and easier to breathe?

Yes it works on a Spider-Man mask, I’ve got Tobey Maguire’s costume and it’s perfect for that. Although it does get wet and makes you sweat from the face so can’t wear it for long

has anyone used this for airsoft?

Yes. A lot of people uses this with a balaclava. It is not as protective as a mesh, but it does the job.
