RainStoppers Umbrella

This is an adorable little umbrella. If you have s toddler wanting an umbrella to play with, this would be a great choice! It's cute and has rounded tips so no worries of poking someone in the eye. It has a simple friction open and shut -- so little fingers won't get pinched -- but it slides easily so they can do it themselves. The rounded hook handle is perfect for little hands.With that said, my kindergartener asked for an umbrella to take to the bus stop. It's ease of use would be perfect for her, but it is much smaller than anticipated and I do not suspect it would protect her and her backpack from getting wet. Perhaps I mistook the one I purchased for a different rain stopped umbrella listing on Amazon, but this one is definitely not the 32 inches I expected. I'm including pictures of it against a measuring tape so you can see its size for yourself.

This umbrella is super cute. I was hoping it would work for my son who is 11, but it is definitely a product for boys who are no older than 8 years old. It is too small for teenagers. I wish I knew it while ordering. But if your child is no older than 8, go for it!

My daughter was SO excited when she got this umbrella. She had been asking for one for a while, so I decided to get her one for Christmas. Unfortunately she had to wait a good 4 months before she even got to use it, but pretended a lot with it. The first day of rain that we got, her eyes lit up and she was practically shaking as she grabbed for her umbrella. She felt super cool using it, even just for the 20 foot walk to the car. This is really easy for her to open and close by herself (she's 4). It seems like it's really sturdy and the plastic handle is easy for her to hold on to. So far it's held up well for the few times she's used it and I'm hopeful it will stay that way. The design is super cute and the price was perfect, too. The hardest part was picking which one I wanted to get her!

I got my daughter this umbrella and she was very excited to use it for the first time today. So I'm standing outside my vehicle in the rain at the school trying to open this umbrella and I realize the handle is bent up toward the top even though we've barely touched the thing. So I try to bend it back a bit so I can open the umbrella and the handle just snaps. It's cheaply made and was a waste of my money.

My 3 year old daughter and I are very happy with this umbrella. It's a great size for her (but big enough that she can continue to use it as she grows) and it's not too difficult to open and close. Sometimes she doesn't have the strength to initiate the opening and sometimes she pinches her hand slightly when she closes it, but that's all part of owning an umbrella. :-) The colors are vibrant but not overwhelming. The dots and ruffle are totally adorable. From what I can tell, the umbrella is a nice quality. We've only used it for about 5 rainy days so far, so it's longevity is still unknown, but so far so good.

I really like the one pictured however that is not the one we received. We received one with pink and yellow hearts with a ruffled edge. My daughter liked the one we received so I didn't return.I think this colorful one is cuter and better for older girls. The one we received looked more appropriate for younger girls. As far as quality, it seems very sturdy and stands up to constant opening and closing (rain or shine) from the kiddos. Seems like it will last us awhile.

These are perfect for preschoolers. I ordered 3 and all arrived in perfect working condition. We love that unlike most umbrellas, to open and close this version you simply push the bar up or pull it down. (Not sure the popper term. By "bar" I mean the thick plastic piece that wraps around the metal pole in the middle of the umbrella.) There aren't any buttons that have to be pushed to release umbrella and let it close. (genius for little kids!) HEAD UP: My son -- a 1st grader -- is using it and loves it, but I'm guessing by the end of 2nd grade he'll have out grown it.

I ordered two umbrellas, the blue flowered one worked perfectly but the mechanism on the polka dot doesn't work right at all. My ten year old pinched her finger awful trying to push the white button up. I chalked it up to a child's error but then I tried it and the same thing happened to me. Now it won't open at all!!!! It only arrived today and is already broken. Extremely disappointed.

A successful useful Christmas present

I'm so happy with this purchase. My daughter loves it and carries it around just in case if it's gonna rain. It is sturdy and still holds well after lots of play with it. Considering it is not a toy I'm surprised it hasn't brake yet. Overall, the umbrella is super cute and perfect size for a 4-year-old.

Our two-year-old son loves this umbrella (or, "umboola," as he calls it). The size is perfect for him, and it seems reasonably safe without any sharp ends or painful pinch points (given that it is, after all, an umbrella). We haven't really been able to test it in a lot of rain, so far, but it seems robust enough for the price.We purchased the frog print version.

It survived a few days with a 5 year old - which is better than most umbrellas.Got it because it would be hard to lose in a backpack and he does not have to worry about buttons or getting pinched and scratched by a collapse-able umbrella.Very happy with it. I like that it is partially clear so he can walk with it a little over his face and still see ahead of him.

My 5 yrs old love his new umbrella so much. He likes the skeletons on his umbrella. Especially, it's sturdy and well made, easy open and close by himself. He's looking forward to every rainy day to be able to carry his skeleton umbrella with him to school :). Good purchase!

No lei bien que el tamaño es para niños, aún asi tenia la esperanza de que fuera mas o menos grande para tapar a un adulto pero no! es como de juguete. Definitivamente para niños o, como en mi caso, para decoración.

While the design of this umbrella was beautiful but I have to warn everyone that this is such a small umbrella even for a child in kindergarten don't waste your money on purchasing this. It is so small that it's not enough to shelter your child from the rain.

My sons take these everywhere, they don’t care if there’s no clouds in the sky! They stab the ground with them- sword fight, pretend they are magical wands, and the umbrella hasn’t broken yet, I would call that a win

Edit: changing to 1 star as this broke within 2 weeks. The centre piece that holds all the 'bars' together broke and now this is trash.Has worn small holes around the hinge points after a week of light use. As long as the rest holds up for the remainder of the spring I would say that it is good value.

It looks sturdy and right size for my 4years old girl, she likes it. I give it a 3* 'cos there are so many black stains on the umbrella.

I ordered the “fancy heart print” (in photo on the left) - when selecting the one I ordered, I specifically chose an umbrella that wasn’t primarily pink and did not have ruffles on it. I was very disappointed to open the box today to find a very pink umbrella with ruffles (in photo on the right). The one I received isn’t even pictured as an option. The other umbrella I ordered at the same time was as pictured.

This umbrella is the perfect size for my four year old. The pink in the picture is a bit softer of a colour which is nice and the cats on it my daughter adores! Love it!

My 2.5 year old loves this umbrella! The size is perfect for her and the umbrella seems quite sturdy. Very cute print as well.

Es de tamaño pequeño, como para niña, pero su calidad es muy buena. Cabe en pasillos angostos, es ligero y fácil de cargar.

Its excessively small... not a standard sized umbrella... and cheaper than the dollar store it seems.
