Exactly what I was looking for
This book was a straight forward method packed with scriptures to support that God is with us when we set out on the endeavor to grow in our memorization of scripture.

This actually works.
This book seems simple at first. I wasn't sure if it was for me. But then my brother who swore it worked told me not to dis' it before I try it.So I applied the unexpectedly simple but straight forward plan of memorizing, and trusted in the lord to help me retain his word. Before this book I had about 20 verses committed to memory. Now after applying it I have Memorized:Several chapters of romansmost of 1 Corinthians Word for wordAnd all of:Colossians1timothy2timothyJames1john2john3john1peter2peterJudeAll this is Word for word. This little book is POWERFUL!Its short, but very simple. I guess I was expecting something harder to apply but now I know this is all I needed, and all you'll ever need!Don't be fooled by its simplistic approach. In fact I don't think any one could fairly review this book if they never applied its message. In my opinion this book will not work for you under three reasons.1) you're memorizing for pride and not your own personal journey with Jesus.2) you lack faith in the Lord's ability to help you. And I don't know why anyone would doubt seeing that he wants you to known his word for daily application and that all things are possible for us through Jesus, especailly if they strengthen us.3) You don't have the Holy Spirit.I don't know what your situation in life is but this book should work for everyone who does not fall under those three categories. That's my two cents at least and I hope it helps!

I applaud the author's encouragement to memorize scripture
This little 33 page book has some useful helps for memorizing scripture. However, it is not fast nor easy. The method is rote with emphasis on the provision of the Holy Spirit, who indeed will help the earnest believer memorize God's Word. This method requires a great deal of dedication and concentration, which will pay off in enriching your relationship with God and deepen your understanding of the entire Bible. The book is painfully repetitious and the author bounces back and forth from subject to subject and as many have said, it becomes confusing. And I do agree that the author is unnecessarily critical of others. That said, this booklet can be a significant help. I suggest that readers use a highlighter and mark the useful information and forget about the rest. I applaud the author's encouragement to memorize scripture. I have never met anyone who regretted memorizing the Word, but I have met elderly folks who are sorry they did not spend time writing the Word on the hearts. Why do we require children to memorize scriptures, but not adults?

Memorizing Scripture (tough but fare)
I choose to read this book because I find many times whether in a conversation with someone or through observation or even writing that I know I read in the Bible a particular passage that applies to the given situation but I cannot remember where or the specific words. It’s very frustrating to say the least. So Adam Houge’s “How To Memorize The Bible Fast And Easy” caught my attention. Much of what he said about hearing from the Spirit or how the Spirit will connect passages from different books to show and convey the same message (harmonized it) I have experience many times. I have also experienced the Spirit bringing to my remembrance the very Word of God even the very words of Jesus. Yet, memorization does not come easy to me.The rote method as Adam explains it is understandable but I have to be honest here, I find it most aggravating. I’m not one who likes to memorize things or use repetition. So, I found reading Adam‘s book somewhat frustrating at times but I rejoice to be able to pray over this area of difficulty for me.Well, I have memorized this: “However, when He, the Spirit of Truth has come, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own authority. But whatever He hears He will speak. And He will tell you things to come.” (John 16:13).I double checked to see if I memorized the above scripture properly. There were a couple of mistakes. I recommend this book to anyone who desires to know the Lord in a deeply personal way. May God bless any and all whether they struggle like me to memorize or are a quick study, to retain His Word in which is promise, truth and His will. Amen.

this book is excellent!!
I just read this book straight through. I love it that the Author, Adam, uses the book of James so much. I am taking a TEE class on the Seven General Epistles; James being the first, and it is so far required to memorize 1-2 verses per week. I do agree with the Rote method as my learning style is every one that he mentioned. I tend to write the verses down several times and then repeat the words. I have been known to cram for test, quizzes and exams in College, but Adam is correct in saying that that method does not help to retain the information. I have been a Christian for a decade and a half, but never really was interested in memorizing scripture. But the scripture that I remember from growing up I remember because I have applied it to my life. It is a God thing and it does take Faith. If you are open to letting God take over your life, then he will take over your heart, soul and mind as well and help you through any circumstance. So far, I have memorized James 1:19-20 "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath. For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God" and James 2:17 "Even so Faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone" (KJV)

I have enjoyed reading this book very much. It gave me a new perspective and reading my bible and putting what I have learned into practice. I have always struggled to think and recall the verses in the bible, and the author rightly said so, the key is inviting the Holy Spirit to show you how it’s done. Very good book, would recommend!!!
I like this book, because it give you a good insights why we need to memorise Bible verses. Thumbs up
