艦船を模した巡航形態に変形するフレームアームズ『金剛』モチーフはイージス艦で防空迎撃機能に優れているとかなお発表時に物議をかもした巡航形態は、浮力で浮かんでいるわけではないので船底に穴があっても大丈夫らしいキットとしては細いアンテナ部を除き組み立てづらいところも特になく、上下左右から挟む方式で装甲のポロリの心配もなし。それでいて色分けも素晴らしい出来。ただし可動範囲は肩が上がらない、太腿のロールがほぼ出来ないと一部厳しめ。付属の武器についてはどちらも大型で、アーキテクトに手を入れない状態では重さに耐えられず。ビームバズーカはグリップの取り付け位置が左右前後の4ヶ所から選べられ、スリット状のモールドに差し込む形ながら一度3ミリ軸に変換してからの接続なので既存のMSGなどと交換可能。また肩にも装備出来ますが、これに耐えるためか肩装甲がバルチャーやマガツキ系と同じく固定式。シールドは単装砲は3ミリ接続ですが、裏面のCIWSは四角形のダボによる接続で無改造での流用は難しくなっています。注意しなければならないのは、アームや肘の軸などが含まれているHランナーが一枚だけABS製となっているため、塗装時にはパーツ構成をよく把握しておくことが必要となります。デザインなどの好みは人に寄りけりですが、私は悪くないと思っています。個人的に気になったのはCIWSの取り付け方式と、一部のパーツ（柳瀬さんデザインの手甲）がランナーから飛び出た形で成形されているため、輸送時の負荷でパーツがもげかけていたこと。ここは少しの労力で何とかなったのではないかと思ったので4つ星と評価させて頂きました。
