Kaspa works Mr. Bennett!
I purchased this little scope on Amazon after seeing it at a trade show. I was impressed with it initially and now after using it, I am very impressed! It is packed with features for a not-so-expensive scope. The Ballistic X with variable intensity lighted reticle is as good as some scopes costing 5 times more. I initially was concerned that the crosshairs being so fine would be difficult to see, but that is what the lighted reticle is for. I zeroed @ 100 yards on my evil assault weapon before dark and then shot until after dark as the lighted crosshairs made targeting easy in very, very low levels of light. In fact, my AR10 has a Nikon with a 50mm objective (same one that I use on my other hunting rifles) that I attempted to shoot, but acquiring the target in the crosshairs proved much more difficult than the little 32mm objectived with the lighted crosshair. I came home pleased enough to log back on to Amazon and order its big brother for one of my heavier hitting evil assault weapons, the aforementioned AR10, and was so excited paid the additional $3.99 for overnight shipping (thank you Amazon Prime!), as I have a pig hunt starting on Good Friday. I will be back to post its review!

My review
My scope does not look anything like the pic above. But it is a 1.5-6x32mm. The illumination dial is on the left side of the scope, opposite the windage turret. I have not shot it yet, but it seems like a decent scope. I gave it 4/5 stars because it is kinda heavy. However, this is going on my AR which is a light rifle compared to my 700P.I'll try to answer some questions that I had:Yes, it's made in china, stamped right on the bottom. But it seems well built from what I can tell. The clicks on the turret are audible and I like the fact that they lock when you press down, so you dont have to worry about knocking it out of zero. Plus, weaver put their name on it, so it's got a lifetime warranty. The glass is clear and the reticle isn't large. The hatch marks are kind of close together, but I think it will be alright. I'm not sure if they're calibrated for 5.56 or not. It's a SFP scope. The battery isn't a non standard, the one in mine is a CR2032.The lens covers are junk, plan on buying some butler creek if you want some on it.

Emptor Cavete (buyer beware)
When the scope arrived it was not the model I had purchased. The one I received doesn't have the reticle I wanted. And when I try to hit the return/replace button in Amazon I get this error message."Oops! We're very sorry, but we're having trouble doing what you just asked us to do. Please give us another chance--click the Back button on your browser and try your request again. Or start from the beginning on our homepage."Guess what happens when you try the back button? Same message.

Great value but terrible eye relief
I paid $149.99 for this (Amazon) which seems to be the best available price; this item was unavailable from MidwayUSA and Optics Planet when I made my purchase. This optic is mounted on my S&W15 Sport II in a Burris PEPR mount. Unfortunately, the full package is quite heavy, as neither the mount nor this optic is exactly light weight. This should be no surprise - you don't get all those features for so little money without giving something up!Also, regarding the batteries, this item takes a CR2032 coin-type battery. There's nothing 'non-standard' about that. The good: Clarity is very good, excellent for the price. The turrets are large, but they provide positive clicks and can be 're-zeroed' after sighting your rifle. The illuminated reticle is very nice, but I wish you could actually adjust it to be more dim by another notch or two. Most importantly, the value of this scope is really unbelievable. The bad: Weight, although I contributed to that problem by choosing such a heavy mount... which I am also reconsidering. The ugly: Eye relief is pretty much unacceptable. When set on high power, I have never used an optic that was so absurdly picky about eye placement. The bottom line: I'm selling it and looking for a lighter option with better eye relief. Lord knows its going to cost me a lot more than $150 though!Edit to add:There is some confusion about what this thing looks like. It is the black version of this:Weaver 849780 Optics Kaspa Tactical Scope, 1.5-6 x 32mm, Dark Earthhttp://www.amazon.com/Weaver-849780-Optics-Kaspa-Tactical/dp/B00FPQU31U/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_sims?ie=UTF8

Batteries
I do not own one of these but any scope that uses a unspecified "non-standard battery" needs to be approached with caution. Plus this says Weaver, a well known and respected brand but it's origin is China. China plus nonstandard means watch out!

Great scope, clear optics, great reticule!!!!
Awesome scope for the price, or any price for that matter. Clear, sharp glass. Holds zero for me so far, 1200 5.56 six rounds later. Shot next to my freinds $700 minox setup, and scope seemed to perform better. The lit reticule, although not used much, is a neat feature. Only wish would be it was a little bit lighter, but overall not bad at all. Love the scope.

Excellent budget rifle scope w/ good illumination
I'm mainly posting this review to counter a point that has been mentioned in several negative reviews. A few purchasers stated that the illumination could barely be seen in well lit areas. This is not true at all (see pic posted to this review). I have been really happy with the illumination. It can be seen at the lowest setting in broad daylight. The turret clicks are not super positive but are definitely usable. I had this scope side by side with my Nikon prostaff 3-8 power and the glass clarity is comparable. The only reason i didn't give this scope 5 stars is because the eye relief is very specific. All things considered, this full featured rifle scope is highly recommended as a budget alternative to its more expensive counterparts.
