Collects Classic X-Men #1-23. In 1986, Marvel launched CLASSIC X-MEN, a series that reprinted the "All-New, All-Different X-Men" era — with a twist! All-new backup stories fleshed out the 1970s tales and delved deeper into the characters' lives — and new story pages were even inserted into the reprints, expanding on key moments and sowing the seeds for future storylines! Now, all this newly created material has been collected together — complete with comparisons and text pieces explaining what was changed, what was added and why! Friendships are forged, allies are mourned and lives are transformed in these rare tales that dance between the raindrops of some of the most revered X-Men comics of all time! Review: One of the best X-Men graphic novels! - My brother is a fan of classic X-Men, sure it doesn't have the full stories in the graphic novel but the side by side comparison of the panels is one of the best features as is the back up stories which have one of the X-Men in a solo story and Chris Claremont is still one of the best X-Men writers! Review: Catching up - I had to catch up on my back issues. This novel took me way back In time. I love it.

A complete collection that isn't.....
This is a misleading title as it only includes the new stuff published in the X-Men Classic reprint of the original Uncanny X-Men. Instead of the entire comic, you have a summary page detailing what happened, any new pages added and any edits performed as well as the 2nd story. Nevertheless it is still an entertaining read and a joy to behold the exquisite art rendered in the comics.

The X-men classics
Thanks to Chris Claremont brilliant writing this collection of stories is well worth the price. This book Dives deeper into character development Mina light on classic characters that Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created

Not the Actual Comics
I ordered this, assuming that it was going to be a full reprint of each of the comics with some new material-- but it's not. I can't be totally mad, since it is interesting, but to fully enjoy this you need to buy a second book: Epic Collection X-Men: Second Genesis. The fact that this "complete" collection isn't complete at all, considering a second buy is needed to appreciate it, is what really irks me. This fact isn't mentioned anywhere in the marketing. Still, if you're a die-hard X-Men fan with a good knowledge of the original comics, this is an interesting read.

Awesome!
Awesome comic! However, packaging for shipping needs improvement so that the books can’t be bent or shoved into the mailbox

Incomplete
Maybe it's just the kindle version, but there is a lot of material missing. There are summaries of issue contents and the complete side stories, but for the most part the main events are left out.

Excelente material

Disjointed and jumpy
This is a collection of "background" stories or fillers for the actual x-men run. As such while most of the stories are great to read on their own , the run up to each story is explained by means of a short summary. This kind of structure makes it a bit of a headache to read. Just when you have emotionally invested yourself with one story and a set of characters its a 180 degree switch to another scene , character, emotions next. It also covers fair bit of the actual x-men storyline so there should be spoiler alert warnings all over! In all, this is definitely for seasoned x-men connoisseurs. This should not be your first (or second or third) x-men book.
