Inktec Refill Kit for HP 17(C6625A) HP 23(C1823D) HP 41(51641A) HP 78(C6578DN)

I bought both the black refill kit and this color one for an HP Officejet G85. Normally the two would cost around $80. This refill kit was very easy to use. Refilled cartridge has lasted as long as OEM new ones. Only a fraction of the cost of buying either new or refilled cartridge. No mess, no fuss. This is the second time I have purchased this brand. Will buy again.

There is a learning curve on doing this properly to revive an HP color cartridge. When you inject each color into it's proper opening that you make with a punch tool (provided), be sure to inject the needle at a slight angle towards the middle base of the cartridge's ink sponge. If you go straight down with the syringe, the ink might not absorb correctly into the sponge. Although not specified in the directions, after recharging each chamber, I sealed off the 3 punched holes with black electrical tape. They do provide a color coded sticker that you can place on the cartridge so you can easily identify which chamber gets which color (yellow, red, blue) for future refills. After several test runs, I was able to revive my cartridge and print nice color images again. There is enough ink to perform 2 refills on an HP color cartridge.

I always bought new carts and never used a refill kit before, so I did some research and decided to try this kit. I used a cart that has been dry for well over a month before I received the kit so I was nervous that I might have hurt the print heads making it unusable. The instructions are hard to read (small print, multiple languages) but were easy enough to follow.I recommend refilling in the sink or using a lot of newspaper as it will be impossible not to spill some ink. I ended up needing to soak the heads on a warm damp paper towel for an hour or two before i could get the ink to come out of the cart. I lost some ink in the process but after printing some test pages and average paperwork I can say that I am pleased with the results so far. I will update this review once I get to print some photos and can review the result of the colors.

We've used other kits, but this is the best we've found and the price is great too. It was easy to use and works beautifully. We've already recommended it to people in our club, as well as friends. We'll definitely purchase this again. Oh, the service was first rate also.

Followed the directions explicitly and read the reviews, and the cartridges are better than they were brand new from the factory! Loaded with ink. Kind of messy, but worked. Loaded them a couple months ago, and haven't had any problems since. Using them on an ancient HP DeskJet 6122.

The second kit I have ordered. These work great if you follow the instructions and the carts you are refilling are not defective to begin with.

Works well for the price if you know how to follow instructions and a bit of a techie. If you don't like to read watch the instructional video from the 4inkjets site, just search for this product. Colors are not absolutely accurate, great for printers that won't let you print black unless you have color.
