With such an array of cheap "waterproof" clothing out there it is difficult to work out which ones are actually any good. I opted for these as I have come to know Dickies stuff to be of good lasting quality over the years. These were appealing due to the lack of noise made when walking as I wanted them for short hikes and walking in the rain as well as gardening and there is nothing worse than that rustle of waterproofs when you are trying to have a quiet walk in the countryside!Have been using these since November and they are really good quality, smooth and soft material that is durable and holds up well to bramble snags etc and completely waterproof. They have a nice thickness to them and just feel far better quality than other waterproof clothing I have tried.Probably the best waterproof trousers you can buy before you get to goretex level. The only con really is that they can get a bit warm after prolonged use but that is to be expected for a product like this.I went for a Large size as obviously wearing them over other trousers and the elastic is good.

Waistband a bit tight. Also the trouser buttons at the bottom are on the inside, much would be in the outside as it keeps these much cleaner and free of mud

I have used this item a lot for walking and for jet-washing, has done exactly what they should on every occasion. And wasn't too expensive 👍🏼

My last pair I had worn every autumn and winter since 2009 on the horse farm, seams finally gave up.Replaced with the same, and the quality has not changed. Brilliant trousers, they don't rustle, they do keep the wind and rain out, they are breathable, bonus when shoveling hard and working up a sweat.I'm 5'3 size 12 and this size M is perfect, the poppers on the ankle mean I can close them tight around my boot so as not scuffing on the ground.

I needed some new waterproof trousers for the bike ride to work.they kept me dry,recommended 👌

Good hard-wearing breathable rain trouser, that are true to size. We are currently lambing at the moment and we've had a lot of rain and the trousers have been perfect, I love also that they provide a bit of warmth on freezing nights this time of year, the pocket openings are ideal as it allows me to access my pockets and the waist drawstring is deal for people who are very narrow at the hips so they definitely can be secured more if you feel the elasticated waistband isn't sufficient, the elasticated waistband is good and strong and I would imagine it would take a significant amount of use before it would start to give with wear. These rain trousers are replacing a very old pair of dickies that are now discontinued, I was apprehensive as to how they would compare but I'm impressed, there equally as good. Note, I also use these for horse riding on wet days as they aren't slippy when in contact with a saddle and the aren't made from material that would make a lot of noise, so also ideal for equestrian use.

These waterproof trousers are so good for wearing outside dog walking and working with horses , they do not make any crackling noise when wearing them and are soft and easy to use.Rowena

Good product. Only buy these as I know they are tough and waterproof
