A must have book for Remote Sensing programming
This book reviews key/critical algorithms used in daily remote sensing imagery applications. The author is very familiar with L3Harris' ENVI program -- and has taken those key ENVI algorithms and used Python to shed light on how these techniques work. The 4th version uses python exclusively; however, previous book editions included a mix of IDL and python to help the reader understand the methodology. The book is a straightforward read and has become a go-to source for many of my remote sensing imagery programming needs.

Not a bad book but code is not updated
The book itself is good and well explained. after a messy installation chaos I managed to install docker (500 MB!)The code can be downloaded as zipfile from Github as well. But running it is something else....and the reason for the two stars only:Sadly the Python code is not updated (still Python 2!!!) and not running any more under Python 3 (example: all 'print' commands need to be set into brackets now...ou have to do it manually.... Also some packages are not working any more. This makes the book in the main part of my buying intentions useless and extremly expensive.
