I Guess Kids Really Do Come With A Manual
I bought an addition of this when I had my first child and it helped my anxiety. I bought this updated version for my daughter. So much has changed in twenty years and I want her to be prepared and understand the milestones and ease her concerns.

lots of great information
Much of this was a great refresher from nursing school. Some of this went into slightly more detail. I really appreciate the authors capability of maintaining a neutral standpoint and reminding moms of what feelings may come, why they are normal, and how to handle those feelings.

Dissapointing book
Very "uncomfortable" book to read, the writing format is very messy with multiple columns on the same page and different headlines, you don't even know what to read. Very US specific in writing, many topics but no depth in either of them. I would also say a bit judgemental at times, for example talking about baby's development and comparing them to "normal" babies - what are "normal" babies? Very strange style of writting.
