Not warm, but I was surprisingly successful with these
- Low expectations due to other reviews, but worth a try.- Not as warm white as expected; I prefer really "brown" light**.- Arrived in a few days.- Good length.- Easy test with a 9V PP3 battery.- Both ends are pre-wired, i.e. 1 cut = 2 strips w/o having to solder anything.- Used an old DC power supply from my spares box.- If they flash, try another power supply.- Choose a supply based on its voltage vs brightness and its rated MA output vs strip length.- Come with 1 little socket to fit some plug-in types of power supply, if you're lucky.Longer story; context; replacing two strips of "click in" incandescent festoon cabinet lights in kitchen, top and under wall cabinet.I tried a few power supplies from my spares box, including a domestic low-voltage halogen "driver" that was used for the lights I was replacing. Found quickly that they want a set-top-box or charger type of supply. The only problem I encountered was that the original 12v power supply I used worked great until I cut the strip at a marked cut point and then ran a bit of bell-cable down to the underside of the cabinet and wired the two strips back together, but they flashed!Assuming it was the bell-wire, I rejoined the strip at the cut point, literally holding the two pieces back together at the metal contacts and they still flashed (i.e. overloading). This was odd; all okay before I cut them. Anyway, I just tried another 12v power supply (from an old BT Broadband router) and it was fine. After I was done, they seem way too bright for a sunny afternoon, so I swapped the supply for a lower voltage one and it looks about right. We'll see when the sun goes down.**the colour is pure white, like a hospital. If you have incandescent lamps nearby then it'll look off. I was able to fix the colour by taping over them with brown packing selotape! The temperature of the individual LEDs is around 32.1C according to my probe.

Useless and set on fire stale thick smoke!
Useless, adhesive didnt stick as the strip itself was too heavy, within five minutes of it being turned on the lights started smoking and set on fire! And was stale thick smoke, Cant even find a way to contact to get a refund, so went and just purchased some £15 ones instead with a plug and remote

Possible fire hazard.
No adapter but I had one so that was ok,you have to wire it up yourself but the two wires at each end have no covering and are about 3 inches of untrunked red wire which looks very unsightly,to be honest it looks badly made and possibly dangerous so will not be using it.probly cost about 50p in China it’s that bad.would not leave on unattended for fear of fire.

Hot strip
They run very hot in connected direct to 12v so bought a resistor step down unit from 7v -12v.......Runs well without eventual burn out.The sticky base is not easy to bond.....it falls from most surfaces unless you use additional sticky pads.Other than that good units bought 2 originally and altered both to run good.

Not fit for purpose
Don't buy. Although it is clear from the description that it doesn't come with a power adapter, it doesn't come with any form of connector to connect it to an adapter.

Grest led strips
5630 leds are my prefered choice when it comes to lighting wether be it cabinet or ceiling in this case. These give a really nice warm white glow, great for edge mood lighting in a ceiling ive just built. Would highly recommend, but also use appropriate power supply.

Good LED tape!
This LED Strip tape seems good to me. Sticks on very well. Each end has some short pre-soldered leads attached. Cutting it to size is a doddle and as long as you have basic soldering skills it’s easy to solder extra leads should those be needed. It doesn’t come with a transformer as the description says so you’ll need one of those.
