I thought about buying an audio interface so I could use the guitar amp modeling in GarageBand to practice with headphones. This cord does it alone. So simple and perfect. Just what you need to plug a guitar directly into your computer/GarageBand.

It works, but not for what I bought it for.
I bought this cable to play Rocksmith 2014 on my PC. The seller states that the manufacturer has said that it DOES work with Rocksmith, but I cannot get it to work at all with the game.Wasted time and money.However, the cable does work outside of Rocksmith. Therefore, 3 stars.

It works
A lot of people are complaining about the product without actually reading what it says. It does work with connecting a electric guitar to your computer or whatever. You can record with and all. Sounds good too.

It connects your instruments to the computer but...
the casing that surrounds the USB connector came apart. I fixed it and it holds together just so so. Would not recommend this one.

Well-constructed
Cable is reinforced with a flexible protective material. Sound is full-bodied, if not slightly bass-heavy, which some may prefer. Indicator light glows green when connection is established. Consistent signal.

Broken on second use
Beware, the USB plug end fell out of the plastic casing on my second use, it doesn’t look like it was even soldered. Returned. Will search for a better made alternative.

Guitar USB adapter works great
I love this Guitar to USB adapter. Just plugged it into my guitar and then into my laptop. I downloaded a free amplifier program and was strumming in minutes.
