Awesome hair dryer!
I have very fine and thin hair, and the ionic dryers make my hair too soft. This is the best hair dryer I ever owned!

Love the drying power but the lightness of this dryer is the best.
I was hoping that this was not going to be as loud as my other hair dryers but to my disappointment it was about equal. My husband does most of his business on the phone and we live in a small open area so I need to make sure the bathroom door is shut tight & it gets hot in there after a few minutes & it does not help with the hot flashes.

A decent hair dryer. Don't expect the "quiet" tag to be meaningful
I bought this for my wife who gets up very early for work while everyone else is still sleeping. We were seeking a solution for the annoying and piercing "screaming" of her hair dryer at 4:30AM, and this turned up in a search for "super quiet" hair dryers. Well, this unit does offer some nice improvements in both speed and temperature selections as well as a momentary "cool" button. But although it is perhaps a little lower in the tone or frequency of its sound, the total noise produced by it is only nominally different from the much cheaper unit it replaced. We don't sense that it puts out more air or heat than the much less expensive one we had, but it came with some interesting styling attachments to make it appear more like a pro unit. It also features a detachable lint filter at the intake which may be worth something down the road as that clogs. Our 12 year old son did think it was "cool" though -- whatever that may be worth.

Light weight and quiet
I had the earlier model of this dryer and loved it. It eventually broke so I bought the newer version and it's even lighter and faster than the first one. Not completely quiet, but it's not that screeching sound that other hair dryers have.

Great purchase
I live this hair drier. It’s powerful. It heats up a lot but doesn’t burn hair. I try to buy driers without ions because they tend to cause frizz, but this one does not. I have shiny, frizz free hair after using this drier.

Not Powerful Enough
Received the product in the mail and it did not look as pictured. The branding said "Helen of Troy" on it versus "Hot Tools. Called the company and they said "Sir, we are the same company" and proceeded to make me feel dumb for questioning it...So what? If I buy a shirt from Banana Republic, I would not expect to get a shirt in the mail with Old Navy branding, even if they fall under the same parent company. Also, the dryer itself is not strong enough to dry my wives hair as fast as previous ones she's had.

Light weight, you don't need huge biceps to keep drying your hair!
The Hot Tools Pro Artist Turbo Styling Hair Dryer is a quiet and light weight hair dryer that is easy to handle; particuarly when blow drying your hair in the back of your head. I always start on the top and side of of my hair to dry first. By the time I get to the back, my arms are tired. This is very light weight and keeps me going to blow out the remainder of my hair. Although I love it, it seems not as poweful as some of my other blow dryers which then takes me a little longer to finish up my hair. Overall, great blow dryer that does not give me a bicep workout while drying my hair.
