It makes great ice at first. After 6 months the ice gets dirty and 3 months after that it stops working. I purchased this ice maker for myself and also gifted one to my brother. Both of them no longer make ice. If you purchase this, also purchase the warranty.

Don't particularly care for this product and I dislike the customer service from the manf even more DTX International . Will return if i ever get them to call me back.DTX !

The first and second one of these I ordered lasted 2 - 3 years each with continuous office use. For the price I thought this was a far deal as I would say that I am a heavy, individual, ice cube user. ALL beverages I drink (water, iced tea and coffee) must have a ton of ice and the ice machine sits near my desk by choice.With that said I loved the 1st ones I got which were the same brand and model footprint/specs, just an older model. The newer one I got however, is not so great and I would never purchase again. 1) The basket is very flimsy and when full of ice sinks under the weight of the ice. 2) It does not allow for the scoop to be set so it does not fall into the ice. 3) When you put water in it you have to put your fingers in areas of the basket that the ice will be as there is no longer no small handle like the slightly older ones had. 4) It began having issues almost immediately (within weeks). It would overflow if put on large cubes, or I'd come in and the machine would be completely off. Next I noticed that 2 of the cubes were no longer freezing, than gradually it has gotten down to half. 5) I have to turn off the machine everyday in order to keep the flow of ice or it gradually stops making ice throughout the day. 6) The push panel control is pushing out from the machine ever so slightly so it makes it difficult to push the buttons on the control.Overall, this machine is not even close to being as good as the 1st two we purchased. If the machine worked properly I would still only give it a 3 because the newly designed basket and material is horrible. The price is definitely not worth the cost any longer.

Very good little machine for the money, it does produce 12 cubes every 10 minutes and faster once the coils are cooled down. Haven't had any issues with it yet. Pretty impressed. I do dump my full trays into a freezer bag and put it into the freezer right away to sharp freeze , cause the cubes are wet.

The first one Discount Tommy sent didn't work properly. It shot water out onto the ice cubes. Sent that one back and THEN they sent me another one, BUT it is a used one. It doesn't have on the front panel what the lights stand for. The front panel was dirty. SO I paid for a new ice maker and got a used, older one.

This ice maker is fast and efficient. It has my seal of approval.
