Great Product for grey hair
If you have grey hair and do not want to dye it, this product is for you. Try it I promise you will love it. Put it on with a mascara brush. Wait 30 minutes and wash your hair. Very easy.

Best actual violet colored dye I’ve tried
I have tried a number of hair dyes that claim they’re “purple”. However, most of the time it’s actually just a variation on pink. This product comes out a beautiful dark shade of violet. My hair is light blond naturally, so I’ve never had to bleach my hair first. I only put in random strips of color within the blond, and I receive multiple daily compliments from complete strangers. It’s a little messy to apply, so be careful! Once that dark purple lands on any fabric it’s there forever. Best to be naked when applying! :). Lasts about 3 weeks, fades a nice light violet.

Great customer service but product issue
First I want to say customer service has been great for helping me which is why I am giving a higher rating. That being said, onto the product...I have used Punky Colour for a few years and when I received the three-pack, two jars were as expected, but the third jar looked like the photos in some other reviews where the dye had leaked out from under the lid and was inside the plastic seal. When I opened the jar it was much lighter in color than the other two, and the consistency was also chunkier and dryer? It looked like it had oxidized despite being sealed. I believe the lid wasn’t on tightly. It looked like older dyes do once they’ve been opened for a long time. And just to be sure if it would still be usable or not I put some on my skin to see if it still would deposit color and stain. It didn’t. It wiped off without leaving a mark. Now like I said I have used Punky Colour for years and this is not typical. The other two jars I ordered were. They have intense colors with a lot of staining power, so if you receive a bad batch I wouldn’t turn away from Punky entirely. That being said, it does also appear that Punky Colour has changed their Plum color to lean more pink/less blue-toned than the jars I bought last year (through a different seller). I looked up product reviews on their website and people were saying it was more fuchsia than expected. Now customer service-wise, the order took a bit longer to ship (it shipped the day after the inital expected delivery date, and then arrived the following day), but it’s understandable in 2020. I contacted the seller and they responded within 2 days to let me know it shipped. I contacted them again about the defective jar and within 2 days they offered a replacement or refund. I opted for a replacement and have received it today. Unfortunately the replacement jar has the same issue, however it seems to still have staining power on my fingers so I’m just going to keep it at this point. I did notice for sure the lid felt less tight this time.So anyways, if anyone has the same issue I recommend contacting the seller to resolve it!

Best violet yet
I had been avoiding this brand because reviews made it sound like cleanup was a nightmare. Now I’m wondering if the people saying that just didn’t have a lot of experience with dye? I’ve been dying my hair purple for more than a decade and this was one of the easiest to use, and my shower looked just fine afterwards (see photo). I haven’t had much time to see how it bleeds on my clothes, but I’ve had other brands that turned my hands purple just from running my fingers through my hair and this is not that bad. I had a bit of purple left in my hair from my previous dye so it might look darker on me than someone starting fresh (see other photo), but the vibrance blows my old brand away. And that’s over natural grey hair, I never bleach- although I do have coarse dry hair that takes up color better than some greys. I had been using Pravana vivids, but a year or two ago they changed their formula and the results after that were super disappointing, looked faded on the first day and washed out immediately. I’m a convert to Punky color, and I love that the grape koolaid smell hasn’t changed since I first tried it as a schoolgirl in the 90s!

EXCELLENT PRODUCT!
I love this product. The color is rich and deep and lasts thru several washings. I do use color-friendly shampoo & conditioner & hairspray to extend wear time. It's easy to apply - I use a thick clean makeup brush to apply to colored area. This is better than Splatt which is too watery.

Stains everything
I've been dying my hair for years and years. I know it stains, but I have never experienced anything like this. If I'm on here complaining about it, it's because this is an exceptional degree of staining and dripping. This stains everything. And I don't mean just when you first apply it. Shampoo after shampoo, your hair will continue dripping purple and staining everything. Every time I shampoo, my entire bathtub turns purple and I have to scrub it for 30 minutes. Fingernails stained purple. I've begun washing my hair wearing gloves. If I work out, my exercise mat turns purple where my sweaty head was laying. My sports bra has purple stains from purple sweat. I put my hands on my head to do crunches and they come away stained purple. And even if you immediately run to wash it off with soap and water, too late. Your skin is stained until it exfoliates off. On the plus side, my sweat smells like grape jolly ranchers...

Excellent colour and doesn't stain
I have black Asian hair that has been bleached. Any purple is not going to last, no matter what brand. Expect to re-apply every 3 weeks or so.Punky colour is so easy to use. I add about 2 table spoons to my existing conditioner. I wash my hair and then apply with a hair dye brush.Wear gloves, Vaseline around your hair line, and use ear covers. Let sit for about 30 minutes (enough time for you to wash the materials and clean up, hang out on your phone about 20 min). Wash out with gloves on. Blow dry on light, blast on coolI love this purple because it doesn't stain my pillow cases and I wear my motorcycle helmet with no fear of staining. If you want lighter purple, use less purple. But honestly, I like the bold colour and after a wash or two, it looks a very pretty lavender.

Works great even on natural, not bleached hair!!
It's been over a month since I've used this hair color. I wash my hair once a week, the color is slowly fading out, so there is no problem with roots and stuff. I have thin, light brunette natural hair. I decided to try this hair color in Ebony, although i wasn't sure how it would show on my hair, since it's not bleached or anything. After I colored my hair, even my HUSBAND noticed the difference! The hair became darker, the color looked solid, not patchy at all. The color itself was gorgeous, looked extremely natural. I used the whole jar for a short bob hair style although i could have used just half and saved another half for later. I'm very happy that I tried this hair color conditioner, it worked great!!
