I have owned this book for a year. I purchased it after hearing it mentioned positively on a podcast. I LOVE this book!!! I always want to write a review after I have READ, RE-READ and GONE BACK TO a book for at least a year. (Reviews that are 5 stars that say "Just got it, looks great...drive me bananas!). After reading and re-reading I have gone back to it as a reference for spells and ritual countless times. I have so many notations in the side margins, parts underlined, arrows, highlighted areas (it's a good thing I have NO desire to sell it and given how much I've marked it up!) The description does a good job of describing what to expect from the book. And I promise THIS BOOK DELIVERS! It is very well written, detailed, yet a simple and fast read. Delivers on both fronts! I love this book so much and highly recommend it. My altar has a small space for books underneath the top shelf and I reserve that space for the BEST books on witchcraft and this is there and will remain there!! I want to get her other book as well. She's a great author and the book is nothing short of fantastic. Contains all the details you need to know and is great for beginners or advanced practitioners. Did I mention I LOVE THIS BOOK!

I just finished it in one sitting, and I have to say that it is a smaller book, but I find now a days, some authors use a bunch of "filler" into their books to make them longer, but they end up torturing the reader because there is no substance to 50% of the book. This author, Althaea Sebastiani, does NOT do that! How refreshing!! It was short, but it had all the information I needed to do some wards. Oh, the book is 100% about WARDS and how to do them correctly. In case the title was a little vague - even though now that I read the book, I understand the title. (Yes there is a subtitle, but its small to read) ANYWAY, I am not here to bash on this author/witch AT ALL! In fact, the opposite! I love this book! I JUST finished it and I had to jump on my computer to write this review! I usually don't do that at all.Basically, if you want to learn about beginner warding, this is the book for you!!! BUY IT! It is really worth it, if that is your interest. Thanks so much Althaea!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My “go to” regarding warding and protection work. A no nonsense approach and reminder to “do the work” love it!

I love that this book is not Wicca based, or based one any one practice or religion. It just focuses on witchcraft and honing your magical skills to get things done. Not deities, not fancy tools or ingredients, just you. The book is short, so for anyone who struggles to finish books, this one's for you. It's not packed with fluff or stories, just straight to information about warding. Now, warding is a broad topic, like most things in witchcraft, so don't stop at this book and think you know it all. Continue your research on the topic. Also, this is not a book for the true beginner, the author clearly states that you should be familiar with raising and directing energy before moving forward, so keep that in mind. This book is not a tutorial on how to practice witchcraft, it's a book about warding for those familiar with witchcraft already (although you do not need to be an advanced, or even an intermediate practitioner to benefit from this book). All-in-all, it's a great book that I recommend for any magical practitioner who's ready to advance their craft.

Haven't began going over it yet but it arrived in fairly decent condition. Decided to look into it due to a recommendation from Cipher Grove I've never bothered with wards before, but it doesn't hurt to know to protect and prevent against malicious intentions.

Love the language, it's easy to understand and implement. Also love the straight talk, and simple instructions. Nothing fluffy, just good information!

I bought this on a whim after a short back and forth with the author on a social media platform. The great price on kindle also made the choice that much easier.Althaea has a way of cutting through the fluff and posturing of writing and getting to the blood and bone of the work. Admittedly I've been reading on various subjects on magick over the last three decades, sitting in various practices and traditions, yet somehow Althaea has brought together what is clearly from her practice--a strong place to speak from--to give us an effective piece on warding.The tone is practical and empowering. This is not a beginners book and assumes some knowledge of magick and practice, again, way thankful to blow past a lot of definition, and get into the description of her workings.Short. Informative. Helpful. Affirming to your own power. Squashes specialness, and encourages your gift. And I got a few twists on warding I hadn't thought of before, because who knows everything? *lol*Great buy.loved it.
