Durable & comfy
I wear my slippers constantly when at home (evenings & 3 days per week). Even wear them outside to get the mail or take out the trash. I usually go thru at least 2 pairs per year. Even the name brands will fall apart on me in no time.Usually the soles fall apart. Not these. The soles are actually stiched to the leather. No glue to disintegrate. The insoles and all the lining are a very soft medium-nap acrylic faux fur. I've had issues where the insoles tend to tear out, but after 7 plus months of daily use, there is no sign of insole loosening or any damage or wear on these except for the expected loss of tread on the soles. My feet measure 10.5 US exactly. I purchased 11 and they fit great barefoot or with normal socks. They are a little snug with thick socks, so I would say they run approximately 1/2 size small.I paid $30 for them. Considering I usually pay $15 a pair for the ones that fall apart in a few months, I consider these well worth the price and will definitely purchase again.Update: over a year and a half, these are STILL in great shape. No signs of stitching coming apart. The only sign of wear is on the inside heels where my constant use is starting to wear through the lining.

Great slippers - check prices on all colors!
So I just got my 2nd pair of these slippers. First pair was purchased in December of 2018. I wore them every day when I got home from work, and once the pandemic started I wore them every day practically all day. Now it’s April 2021 and I finally had to get a new pair. I researched and concluded these are still the best slippers for the price. But here is a great tip! My second pair is in Rootbeer Brown, which are so dark they are almost black, and the price was $18 for the pair because this color is less popular. Just got them today and they look great to me. I’m looking forward to another 2-3 years of daily use. Great materials, great construction, and super comfortable. Cant go wrong with these. I wear size 11 and ordered size 11. The fit is just right.

Soft, Warm and Priced Right
Initially I was reluctant to order these mocs as I was not impressed with other brands of similar or comparable specs and price. They usually wore down quickly and the faux pas fur was not as warm as advertised. But to get some really nice ones, you would have to spend at least $80 to $100... for slippers! I saw these and looked at them for about a month before settling in mind to purchase them. Well, I can tell you... it was worth it. I had not heard of Tamarac before and I had read reviews on these mocs and the company itself... all pretty good. I work from home about 80% of the time and this winter, these mocs have become my best friend! They are warm, the faux pas fur is holding up despite heavy use and the bottom rubberized soles are holding up very, very well. Stitching is far better than expected and the suede feel is really nice. The only negative, if this is what you want to call it, is that I would recommend you get a half size or one full size larger if you plan on wearing socks with these mocs. I bought my size and I quickly found out that wearing socks and mocs together are tighter than expected. I should have "listened" to other reviewers suggesting this... don't make this mistake... if you like wearing socks with your mocs (nice little ring to this), get a half or larger size. One 'small' negative... is that they did not have my size in black and I really wanted the black pair but the tan is just fine.Overall, I love these mocs and would recommend them to everyone. I feel that they are priced right and well worth it.

Good value, but size runs small and NARROW
The overall value for the price (I paid approx $28 here on Amazon) for these great. Plenty of good things to say, but a few critiques...One thing worth mentioning right up-front - IF YOU HAVE WIDE FEET like me then you'll find that these are very narrow and will feel very tight when you first put them on. But I took a chance that they would stretch and sure enough, after wearing them around the house for just a few days they do indeed stretch enough to fit my feet comfortably. They also seem to run a bit short on length compared to other similar footwear. When I received mine I was worried that I'd have to return them and search for something else, but I took a chance and exchanged them for the next size up and it worked out fine. Exchanging for one size larger than I would normally wear took care of the length issue and then wearing them for several days took care of the width issue as they quickly stretched to fit width. They do seem to have a strong synthetic scent right from the start which I'm hoping will fade in time. (One suggestion I received and will try is to sprinkle baking soda inside them and let them sit for a day or two without wearing them and then tamping the backing soda out before starting to wear them again). As others have mentioned, the "laces" or "ties" do feel rigid and come undone. Unless you're a knot-wizard (clearly I'm not) it's very hard to figure out how to tie them back in place the way they were. It's not a normal tie / knot that is used, and so right now I have one moc that is tied perfect and the tie stays in place, while the other that I tried tying like a normal shoe just keeps coming undone. Annoying, but doesn't have much overall effect as far as wear and comfort for me.Now, comparing them to the much more expensive LL Bean's I've had for a couple years:- They are more snug than the LLB's , which is not a deal-breaker for me and they do stretch / loosen up a bit after some wear.- The don't feel quite as soft as the LLB's - just slightly less luxurious feeling, but still fine and not a big deal- The outer bottom / sole on these have a slightly stiffer / plastic feel , whereas the expensive LLB's outer sole is a distinguishably softer rubber. Again, not a big issue, but these do make more noise when walking around on linoleum or wood floors (which I only bring up because I'm up and around the house at odd hours when wife is sleeping so I have found myself trying to step a bit lighter in the kitchen late at night).- The laces on these feel like a thick rigid fake naugahyde and difficult to re-tie, whereas the laces on my LLB's are softer more natural feeling, not quite as think and easier to re-tie to stay in place.- Considering the price difference (at the time I purchased, these were $20 cheaper than the LLB's I'm comparing to) I think these stand up fairly well in comparison and are priced right.OVERALL SUMMARY - Very good slipper mocs for the $25 - $35 (total) price range, plenty sturdy for indoor and outdoor wear, warm and comfy once broken-in. Only minor issues if we're being picky for sake of the review, but definitely a good value. If I was going to spend more than $35 then I'd go for a pair of LL Bean's instead, but for under $30 these are quite good!
