EXCELLENT BREAD MACHINE
I have not had a bread machine for many years now and I was struggling to choose one as there are so many to choose from but I have always trusted products by Panasonic. I am really surprised how cool the outside of the machine is when baking and is very quiet. Delivery was delayed and did take a bit longer but it was worth the waiting. I am highly satisfied with the product.

Absolutely brilliant: the crispy crust is a real winner
I wanted something that would compete with the bread from the fancy bakeries in the neighborhood. We have had this for a week now and it’s absolutely brilliant. Bread is consistently delicious, with a nice crispy crust. It’s super easy and fast to use, it takes 5 minutes to put the ingredients in, and turn it on. It takes one minute to clean and the whole family loves the incredible bakery smell in the kitchen when the bread is ready! Just perfect and totally worth the price.Next step is to have some fun trying different types of flours and flavourings!

Do not buy if you are in U.K.
Seller sold a faulty product. The bread maker did not work. On return, it got stuck in customs and there was no support from the seller to solve the problem.Stay away from this seller. Do not buy.

Toxic Plastic Smell - 5 hours for 10 slices of burnt bread.
I bought this Panasonic Croustina thinking it was the best bread machine on the market. Wrong! The first thing I noticed after unboxing it was that the plastic is flimsy (really thin) and where panels join, it's uneven - badly fitted together. The bread bowl is a made from really thin aluminium too with a black painted coating - not ceramic. When I tried making my first loaf, the smell of burning plastic was overpowering - very unpleasant and toxic - definitely not the smell of baking bread! The manual says to expect a burning smell the first time you use it - but after baking 5 loaves, I still get the burning plastic smell.[UPDATE: The burning plastic smell went away after baking 10 loaves of bread]The baked bread has a very thick 5-6mm crust, i.e. an almost burned crusty loaf.[UPDATE: This machine overcooks the bread - You must STOP the machine 15 minutes early (15 minutes before the end of the programmed time) if you want a perfect crust that is crusty but NOT burned.]HOT - The (thin) plastic side panels of this machine get extremely hot to touch - The temperature of the side panels is more than 65°C - which shows how bad the design is.This machine is very cheaply made.I don't know why they are charging such a high price for it. I was expecting a much better product from Panasonic. It takes 5 hours to bake a small loaf of wholemeal bread. That's 5 hours for 10 slices of burnt bread.Definitely not worth anywhere near the selling price of 230 pounds (Oct 2020).
