Long cable, which is good for a ski lock. A little too bulky. Well made. Adequate security.
The only use for this lock that I can imagine is to lock your skis. Skis get stolen rarely in the US, but it happens, partly because of someone's mistake (e.g., one can grab a wrong pair of skis which look the same as theirs) and partly because of theft. The cable in ski locks is not very thick. It is more a theft deterrent than a theft protection. I am sure that my bicycle cable cutters would cut this cable in one second. However, it is unlikely that a ski thieves would bother carrying bulky cutters or would cut locks in public. They would grab a different pair of skis which are not locked. With this, the key characteristics of a ski lock becomes the length of the cable. I must say, the cable in this lock is on a relatively thick side, perhaps 1.5 mm thick. Cables in ski locks are notoriously short, and every extra inch counts. This lock is better in this sense (has a longer cable) than the other, smaller and lighter lock, that I have, as its cable is a good 4 if not 6 inches longer. It has a 4-digit combination which is nice, although, once again, if one can cut the cable with a proper tools in a second, why would one bother picking a combination? Three digits are as good as four. The downside is that it is a little too big. It fits into a ski jacket pocket, but takes most of it. Description of the lock suggests it as a lock also for bike, I do not know how that would work. When it comes to bikes, it is, basically, a zero security lock. It is not a defense against someone equipped to cut or break locks.

Used when taking trainsnin Europe!
This was fantastic to keep all my luggage together on the trains. Often times the luggage goes where you can't see it and people have sticky fingers. I used this so strap all our luggage together while on the trains, our stroller as well. Worked like a charm. I bring this in my stroller everywhere incase I need it, like water parks or amusement parks. Highly recommend for the price, durability, and ease to carry around and use.

This stroller lock has been going with us to zoos, etc.
We purchased a Wonderfold Wagon and got the lock as a precaution for when we have to park the wagon while walking through exhibits at the zoo. It gives me a little peace of mind to think that our wagon won't be so easily targeted because it is secured. The set up and operation is SUPER easy and it only takes an extra moment to use it. We are happy that we have this to help when we are in crowded places.

Great for intended use
Great tool for preventing a simple “snatch & run” theft from the rack at your ski resort. It’s easy to operate and I hardly notice it in my pocket. It’s not super robust & would probably take nothing more than a hammer blow to defeat. So, not your best choice for “general purpose” security…stick with a traditional cable/chain & padlock for that.

Worst lock of all time (maybe ever)
I wanted to like this lock. It fit great in my pocket. But failed me in the worst way possible. Twice.First of all, I think it must be super easy to set the combination because after I locked my snowboard my old combination no longer worked. I am 100% positive I know the combination. It was literally my birthday. And I tested it lots of times before. So I had to “steal” my own board. This is where the lock (thankfully) failed yet again. I was able to break it without tools in under 30 seconds. Nobody even looked at me to see what I was doing. So I was able to ride the rest of the day, but the lock was beyond useless.

Good enough, but not foolproof
In the world of downhill skiing, I'm always amazed at how hundreds and hundreds of people leave their expensive gear unattended in racks and completely unlocked. Fortunately, the ski community is by and large, friendly, honest, and not the criminal type. However, I have had a pair of skis taken once, and I know of at least 2 other people who have told me stories about when their gear disappeared. I ordered this lock after buying a brand new pair of Kastle FX95s, which retail at $1,200 without the bindings. I just couldn't bear the anxiety of leaving them outside while I grabbed a beer or two and having to wonder the whole time if the skis were still going to be there when I came back. This lock is easy enough to use. The cable is just long enough to wrap through a binding brake and click to a rack post. Unfortunately, if somebody is really intent on taking your skis, this cable is thin enough to be snapped by even a semi-decent set of wire cutters and is certainly no match for a bolt cutter. All this lock will do is reduce the opportunity for somebody to take them spontaneously. Still, I feel like a dork as I'm usually the only person on the slopes locking up my skis. I don't care. Once you've had your gear stolen once, you won't think twice about it again.

Good for a deterrent, doubt it would stop someone motivated
I got this to essentially make other peoples gear look more attractive than mine, I have no doubt. a motivated person could break this lock easily. I would say if you want a very secure lock go with another option. This one is mainly to deter.
