great saw for the money
I received the saw on time there was a little mix up they were suppose to call before deliveryand didn't but it worked out ok.The set up of the saw was a little troublesome had a hard time cleaning the protective grease and squaring thetable wings. The manual was very helpful and I made it through ok.After the setup the saw has performed better than my expectations. The adjustments stay dead on, the splitterworks fantastic. The fence is the best I have used over all I have very glad I purchased the Grizzly Polar bear saw.I couldn't ask for a better table saw even at twice the money. No problem recommending it to anyone.

Great Saw
Great saw. Took my time when I got it and set it up and lubed it right. It's accurate to the limits I expect. Cuts whatever I throw at it. It's not a 5 thousand dollar cabinet saw but I didn't expect it to be. I use it every day and haven't had a hiccup out of it yet.

Third time was not the charm
After the third shipment of the Grizzly Polar Bear Saw arrived damaged or with boxes lost in shipment, I canceled the order. Actually , each of the orders was canceled and re ordered when the damage or lost boxes were discovered. I have no idea how the saw performs but packaging and shipping needs work. The order is sent in three separate boxes as three separate shipments. After the third cancellation, I ordered the equivalent saw from Steel City and it arrived on time, yesterday, in one steel reinforced crate. I am starting assembly this morning and I will be glad to review performance of the Steel City saw in a few days. The adventure wasted four weeks of my time, The first order was placed before Thanksgiving and I finally have a saw on Dec 28th. I had scheduled time off from work over the holidays to do several projects using the new saw ( the old saw was sold and moved out to make room ). That lost time is not replaced by the hassle free credit and replace procedure by Amazon.

Not Recommended
I bought this saw through Amazon on June 24, 2015. Three days ago, on July 10, 2016 the blade would not raise or lower. This is just a couple weeks past the 1 year warranty period. The handle was very hard to turn. I tried harder and heard it stripping the gear. I tried lubricating everything recommended in the manual and whatever else I could see that could possibly cause the problem but nothing fixed it.I called Grizzly tech support and he really didn't have any clue how to fix the problem. So I went back to the shop and began a closer investigation. The problem was that the motor is supposed to pivot on a shaft in the trunion. When you loosen the belt adjustment screw, the motor should move freely but it was frozen to the shaft. At the pivot, I removed the lock nut holding it on the shaft and, after a bit of struggling, I was able to get the motor off the shaft using a steel pry bar. The shaft felt dry, like it had never been lubricated! That is obviously very bad especially since there are no ball bearings. There is nothing in the maintenance section of the manual about lubricating it either. While the motor was off, the blade height handle raised and lowered the blade smoothly. The handle is attached to a worm gear, which contacts a bull gear on the motor mount to raise and lower the blade.I lubricated the shaft and all other connecting points with white lithium grease and reassembled the motor on the shaft. At that point, with the belt adjusting screw loose, the motor moved but it was still not easy. I tried to lower/raise the blade but when the blade was raised about 2" above the table, the worm gear on the handle began skipping and it would not raise any further. Carefully examining the mechanism, it looks like some of the teeth are worn on bull gear. It may have gotten stripped when I initially tried to raise the blade when the motor was frozen on the shaft.Unfortunately, the bull gear is cast onto the motor mount assembly (part# 115) and is a major part which will probably take at least a full day to replace and to realign everything.I went back home and called Grizzly again and explained everything above. The tech was a different guy and a bit better this time in that he understood what I was describing. He was skeptical that replacing the motor mount would fix the problem since there were no broken teeth on the bull gear. He suspected the problem is the worm gear but I don't see any wear on it and it doesn't look bent either. So he finally ordered the part. He expects a shipment of them to arrive at Grizzly on August 23 but there is no guarantee it will arrive on then. That means I won't get the part for about 6 weeks! Luckily, 3 fellow woodworkers in the building where my shop is offered to let me use theirs.Bottom line: I make my livelihood woodworking and I'm very sorry I bought this saw. I've owned many table saws and never had a problem as serious as this. And this is the most expensive saw I've owned! I think that Grizzly should have at least paid for the part, but the days I'm spending on repairing this machine and the time being without a table saw far outweighs the $50 for the part.

My new Grizzly G0715P Table Saw
My new grizzly saw arrived in good order and before the expected delivery date given by Amazon. The product is quite heavy but with the help of a friend, we got it unloaded. It took a couple of days to assemble, the manual is excellent and the instructions are clear and straight forward. The saw runs sweetly and cuts very well. The fence is excellent and was set up properly at the factory, no further adjustment was required. I have not explored yet if a zero clearance table insert is available for this saw, but that would be an important feature. Thank you Amazon for your good service and timely delivery
